      @@aurelia.4851 crying in fear that badly isn't caused so easily. It transmits a message of fear, insecurity and unhappiness. Which results to her sending us the message that it is indeed true, since it does not have an explanation of it not being fear. Mostly because crying is the opposite of transmitting happy emotions, unless you tear up from laughing of course, which is caused by muscles to tense up and feel really excited.

    I got to swim with stingrays once (not mantas, stingrays). They were amazing. So friendly and loved to be pet. They came up and fluttered on your back to get your attention. They can be very non aggressive if they are used to humans. Absolutely need to respect the animal and that it is still wild in either case though.

      @miavika1074 Před 3 lety +2

      @@moos5221 I believe there are both pros and cons to holding them in zoos and stuff, cons being basically your points, and pros being that, if the zoo makes the cage specially made to make the animal comfortable, then they get to live a life of luxury without fear of being eating alive by another animal plus they live longer and rarely get sick if taken care of properly, but unfortunately, not all zoos do that and keep them purely fo the money so the animals end living in even worse conditions 😔

    • @moos5221
      @moos5221 Před 3 lety +1

      @@miavika1074 yeah, in a perfect world a perfect zoo may be a place for animals to live a life in dignity, but sadly this world is the complete opposite from being perfect and even though some zoos really try (most don't), it's impossible to create a near natural habitat for some animals - and this applies to dolphins more to many other animals. it's not only being confined in too small cages/aquariums, it's also about being kept in chlorine water which destroyes their eyes instead of being in oceans sea water. i think where i live it's illegal to have dolphins in zoos for those reasons. but i agree, there is something positive about zoos and i very much enjoy visiting them. we humans are just very good at keeping negative things out of focus to feel better about what we do.

      actually, when animals are friendly and playful, they do it because it makes Them happy, not because they want to make someone happy
      its known in scientific culture that not a single animal has the ability to feel empathy like humans
      they feel emotions like us, but they dont put themselves in another perspective
      so animals are just naturally egotistical . When they have fun with humans, they dont do it for the humans, they do it to themselves

      Okay let meh explain orcas are genuinely afraid of humans because how they are being treated in captivity and in the wild. In captivity they aren't given enough space in the tanks they're very social animals and they really need a ton of space so with the lack of space they're given in captivity gives them a lot of anxiety and depression and that causes them to die off really quickly and captivity and I know some people are wanting to make it illegal to have them in captivity and it's a good plan because somewhat wild animals are fine and captivity but wild animals like orcas should not be kept in captivity.

      also, just so you know, in the future, try not to 'feed' the manaties with fresh water or pet them again. since they're so friendly, once they associate humans with good things, they begin to approach us a lot more. this wouldn't be a problem if not for the fact that the only place where manatees will find us is by the water, which is most cases, is usually at docking stations. hundreds of these gentle giants are killed brutally by boat propellers or permanently scarred/disfigured because they were looking for more compassion. its so very sad, and as someone whos pet/feed them myself, it breaks my heart that doing so will only result in them getting themselves hurt it the future =(

    I want to point out that dolphins can be utter assholes. They're seen as angels but with high intellegence comes cruel tendencies like humans. I won't point out some unsavory things they do as I know that there are children here but they cause major injuries in humans. Some could be fatal if diving alone. They're also known to hold a grudge when unhappy in captivity (though that usually comes from abuse)
    Sea lions, although they are normally friendly are generally shy. Usually only the curious ones come up close. Some species are more aggressive than others though.
    The biggest threat to river dolphins is actually the river itself. They can't tell the level of pollution and can die because they don't know what level is healthy or not.
    Orcas have in fact killed and injured people. It's more common in captivity (like dolphins normally from abuse) It's thought that from their intelligence that they know not to go after humans because we could hunt them down but It's unlikely. It has happened in the wild
    If there are any inaccuracies in my statements that you can back up with proof, Please do. I'm always looking to better my knowledge and some of this was done with a quick 10-20 minute search to double check my knowledge but I probably got something wrong. I'm always up for criticism
    P.S Nurse and lemon sharks are also pretty calm animals. Some great whites are known to be really friendly as well. I'm honestly surprised that you picked the Hammerhead, though not the worse one I've seen.

      humans keep lots of them in captivity in way too small aquariums and in chlorine water instead of saltwater. there is a high chance you can pet one of those and then cry, either of happiness or of shame about what humans do to animals just for entertainment.
