Harvie yeah there's good accessories for it theres the play it loud (it's also a handle grip but that's for dsi/dslite)And they have decals and plastic things u put the console in to "protect" it from scratches. that's all I know about they have em on amazon

Does that light has to be extended? I assumed it should be opened to be above the button and the pad so the lights reach the screen from a 45 degree angle, there is no point on having them at the sides

Man, the odd light at the end was upside down 😱 That thick part goes under the Gameboy Advance logo on the screen and the slim part goes on the top of the screen. I actually had one of those (now that I remember) and it was pretty cool to play with it everywhere. I wonder why I don't have that accessory anymore 🤔

The steampunk shell you used to replace looks a little bit bigger than the original black one. I think that is your problem.

Dear Brandon. To your question on the gamester light up holder: all gba's (AGS-001/AGS-101) are the same size. It is a possibility that it was supposed to look like that, despite looking odd. It is most likely a mass-produced Chinese knock off, hence the reason it doesn't fit the Nintendo GBA'S. It is also a possibility that it could be made for a gba clone, deeming it non-compatible with your legitimate Nintendo Gameboy. Hope my advice helped, and feel free to consult with me on any more Gameboy questions you may have in the future. Good video by the way.

I played my game boy advanced well in to the life of the DSLite! I gotta say I cant understand why the wire lever design for the battery contacts didn't catch on elsewhere! So much nicer than springs!

I had that light kit for my gba u put the bottom first then pull the top over the gba and it's on. you were doing the opposite plus u had it upside down at the end.

i did the same thing to my screwdriver. i used a file to cut into it to repaire the tip
You should have gone for the giant speaker grip that Intec made back in the day. It was a big wing grip that had stereo speakers built in with a small amp. It was quite a statement (and loud as all get-out).

I was curious to find it again so I did some digging.
I don't know the name anymore unfortunately, but this auction on ebay has one. It's the big pink grip with the stereo cable coming out of it.

I know it used a special battery pack too, but I think that's in the pics too (that small pink piece that's shaped like a gba battery cover).
Listing says untested so results may vary. At worst you at least know what one looks like off those images. Good luck finding one if you do search further.
