she’s filming stranger things, and she’s code switching
She has worked and lived in America since she was a little girl, and her fiance is American so she probably has just picked up some American pronunciations of certain words because she hears the American accent a lot more than she hears other British people speak. She also has to do an American accent for months at a time while on set.

It’s almost like living in another country for many years of your youth can have an effect on your accent and dialect as opposed to someone constantly switching back and forth between accents on purpose for the last few years making much more sense
@@cstumpy51 no i agree, but there's also a possibility, given that she's an actor that maybe she's code-switching with accents. at the end of the day, its just getting annoying seeing so many people point it out. people losing their accents has been a common thing now, im not sure why its such a big deal
