Finding any ARNP or MD to actually listen is a challenge. It's exhausting. Especially in large medical health systems--like Virginia Mason where I feel like a burden and just a number. My longtime care provider retired during the pandemic, and it has been so hard and expensive to try to one: even get an appointment, and two: finding a provider that listens and cares. Big prayers for all of us navigating the "American Medical System".

I am in houston. I have been trying since I was 12 years old, for a doctor to diagnose my heart issue. The last time I was sent for an ECG, and the technician ground the wand into my chest so hard, I cried the entire time. I was left bruised. When I went to my GP, he never mentioned the test. I had to ask, as he was leaving. He sighed, sat down, and after flipping through the file, pronounced: “inconclusive”, and closed the file. He stood to leave. i asked: “should we not reschedule, perhaps with a different technician, or the department head?” He said we would talk about it next time. I am still waiting. I am over 50. Texas is the last place to find competent medical care.

My husband's doctor is much more thorough than mine is...
Someday, a woman's health will be just as important as a mans is..
    Hopefully 🤞

Most of my life has been spent this way. It's called "practicing" medicine for a reason.
