    I can fill my P-Rod by hand pump no problem😎. I also have an original Talon SS with 2 tanks to fill, and they're a real workout to refill to 200bar, especially after 100+shots per tank😕.The Nomad II seems to be a complete deal, with multiple voltage capabilities, air filter, and ease of use. I've not used my Talon SS for awhile due to the hassle of filling tanks. I grab for other airguns, or firearms🔫 for range time. The Nomad II will change that.....😸

    I ordered one and have been using it for the last week! I’ve been waiting for them to be in stock for a year. Glad it’s finally here! I love it haven’t used my Hill MK4 pump since! Works as advertised. There are haters saying that these electronic compressors put moisturize in your airgun and will cause damage to them. Question does Pyramid Air or Air Venturi have a opposing response to that statement? They say that the moisture removal system on units like these are inadequate. I like my Nomad II and hope this isn’t true.

    • @tylerpatner6591
      @tylerpatner6591 Před 5 lety +3

      Glad you like it! We were eagerly awaiting their arrival as well. With regards to moisture getting into your gun, it's certainly possible. Not nearly as likely as when using a hand pump, but the possibility is there. I've tested both the first gen Nomad and the Nomad 2 and outside of the one time we tried to fill a 90 cu in tank with the Nomad 1(which is NOT recommended), I've never seen an alarming amount of moisture come through the unit. There's a reason why it is only recommended for filling in short stretches. Bear in mind, you can always add additional filter elements on the hose, though it will increase the fill times. So far though, I've not seen any amount of moisture that has given cause for concern come through or be bled out of the Nomad 2 used in this video. While this isn't an official statement, just my two cents, I hope it helps. Change out the filters at the recommended intervals and you should be good to go.

    There are a lot of "I guess" and "I suppose" in here. "Burst disc setting is 5,000 psi I guess" Find out! You don't come across as an expert who should be reviewing the product if you don't know these details.
    7:22 - It would be better NOT to use an extension cord if possible. There will be a voltage drop and the motor will need to work harder and run hotter when using an extension cord. If on IS used, use a heavier gauge or shorter one.
    Looks like a nice little compressor with some useful safety features.

It draws 20 amps, can't be run from car battery, drinks oil (royal purple is expensive, and is ugly. Been using mine for a couple of years now with two Benjamin PCP rifles, and it works great. I recently purchased a 10 meter competition air pistol and air rifle, both with removable PCP cylinders and both with 200 bar capacity. I have the appropriate adapters, but for some reason, the Nomad just gets to a few hundred PSI and never goes any higher. Using the same adapters with a manual pump, I'm able to pump up the cylinders to 200 bar. So it's not the adapters. Any idea why I can't get it to work with the removable cylinders?

    Do you need to add any silicone oil into the compressor , never used, brand new out of the box? What numbers should be showing on the load meter that you might want to add 2 or 3 drops of silicone oil so the compressor stays lubricated before the load meter reads 29 and shuts off. The manual says add 2 to 3 drops after 5 fills or after 1.5 hours running time.

    • @tylerpatner6591
      @tylerpatner6591 Před 5 lety

      No, typically right out of the box, none is needed for a few fills. If your load gauge gets into the 25 range I would definitely lube at that point.

    Looks pretty good but what's the average life expectancy on a compressor this small before things break or it dies? If you have a higher powered rifle that only gets 30/40 shots per fill and shoot a lot, you're gonna run this compressor ragged all day long, maybe 4/5 days a week. It's it made for that kind of use?

      @@nico5735 The question is: what's best for the rifle and the answer to that is clean and dry air, Scuba shops have top grade equipmennt and you can be assured that they will provide you with clean, dry air. Considering the fact that without a tank you woud be running the compressor every 5 shots in an unclean abd humid atmosphere it just makes more sense to me to have your air stored so no natter where you go your shots will be consistent and your rifle will have fewer if any. The tank on my rifke is 490cc but the scuba tank holds 80 cu ft if air, that equates to a whole bunch of refills and since i bough the scuba tank for $175 i could buy two more and have them filled for $8 apiece and i still spend less than i woud for a pcp compressor that will inevitably break down because of heat
