LOVED this video, it really helped me out. i am however having an issue trying to figure out a way so that i can take inventory on multiple days and have it all recorded, for example if I'm taking inventory of items from my shop daily/weekly i would like to be able to see what i had yesterday, or the week, to be sure things aren't being stolen or whatnot. if you could help me that would be so appreciated, you're the only one on here i have found who articulates and shows step for step at an understanding pace. Im struggling a bit with the strike though option for discontinued items, ive followed your process to the exact formulas but it does not seem to apply the rule, once completing everything and selecting yes for one of the items, there is no strike though or grey blank out, is there maybe something im missing ? apologies for the trouble. Seems useful as a one-time static look at inventory, but it looks like it would manually require us to update the quantity in stock, and there's no place to track the amount reordered. What if there's more than one supplier for an inventory item? It's a great example of how to use conditional formatting, drop downs, and Pivot Tables to allow users to pull data they're interested in, though.

Example: place a color card board on top of the 10 boxes and place the remainder boxes on the top of the cardboard, and when you see that there are no more boxes on the top of the cardboard, means supply is low and you go to the spreadsheet and update? or you use another system to check the supplies. How do you know when supplies are out, so you can update the inventory. Do you have only one person and backup to provide supplies to others or anybody goes to the supply room, if so, then it's difficult to control how many supplies are out. What SKU means what's the purpose?

Hello! I'm so glad you are able to use the Inventory template! You can add your products like Beeswax or Shea Butter as items in column C and fill in the correct quantity you have in stock, price, etc. Then, in the "Reorder" column you can set your own limit that you would reorder if your inventory got to that low a level. You would adjust your Quantity in Stock as you sell the items and when that hits the reorder limit, it will highlight to alert you to reorder it. Be sure to refer to the instructions tab on the template for more tips. Thank so much! Best of luck!

@@SharonSmith I made this s/s and it all worked in Excel just fine and everything worked as it should but as I uploaded it into Google Drive (my client stores everything there) the pivot table didn't function inside Google Sheets. The data was there but it didn't have the filters I set up to choose from. Did I do something wrong?
