Here in Florida night mowing in the summer is perfect otherwise the "feels like" temperature is always 120 during the day :)
mowing at dusk is even better, just enough sunlight left for you to see fine. And the heat is at an all time low for the day
i put these on my rider a week ago. excellent. i now need lights to shine on the sides of my deck to see where its at as i mow around obstacles

is this best for a husqvarna? we bought it from a friend in good shape, just had it serviced and wanted to add the lights to the list. we have a yta18542. i found the same manufacture had a 1700 lumen light that looks just like this but i think thats too bright.

I installed LEDs in my Craftsman Lawn Tractor, and they lasted for a one day operation, then burned out. I had a brand new 20HP engine installed, so I know everything under the hood is new. I ordered these new Luyeds to install yet. I hope to have better luck, or is there a limit voltage these LEDs can handle? I paid $13 for the pair as to date.
How have the LED bulbs held up? Which ones did you get?

Isaiah's Reviews asked a good question, did your original bulbs work? If not, you have a wiring problem.
Why mow at night?
Gets dark early sometimes and I'd rather do yard work after work instead of weekends
and not all of us have time to mow when it's light out every time.

Let me explain to you how your THEORY is out the WINDOW! Fact number one...Yellow light at night is brighter/throws further light than white light as you call it. I am a lighting director. An Expert on lighting for over 40 years. While you may think that white light is brighter you are INCORRECT. If you look/into the light YES it is brighter. But if you go out equal distances and use a LIGHT METER you will find that the yellow light is brighter. This is because of the untrained EYE thinking White its Brighter at night when your cornea is TRICKED!
The color temp of your as you call it white light is somewhere around 5500-6000K Which is in the DAYLIGHT SPectrum. Let me ask you a question....When you light a candle what is the color of that candle...Closer if not exactly to that of an INCANDESCENT BULB! Color TEMP of 2200-2600K (Color Spectrum difference of 3000K) EXACTLY.....LED's are crap from a color perspective...There where invented for BACKLIGHT DISPLAY not projection lighting. This is why when they are on rear break-lights they blind PEOPLE. LED on cop cars BLIND PEOPLE....They SHOULD ALL BE Outlawed. This is why the LED street lights blind you when you look up at them and they do not throw anylight on the ground and the old Mercury Vapor or Incandescence lights did.
Youth you guys really need to get a clue. Find out before it is to late. Just because something is new does not mean it is the best or greatest. I have an YTH46 22V XLS and I put Halogen lights on the front and they KICK ass better than any LED.
