Seems like an honest, humble and intelligent man. Looking at the tattoo scene from outside, and as someone flirting with the idea of getting a tattoo myself, I'm glad to see that people like him are part of the scene.
His observation and statement of endurance and survival, and the artwork being "transitional" are profound and enlightening. Filip Leu is a gift.

Filip Leu...the most famous tattoo artist in the 90s ... And his tattoo shop the family iron ...a real icon I'm lucky to have a copy of one of his full back tattoos.. a real humble person my sincere respect

I feel that Filip is one of those who have been always called "The wanderer" to this world. Not many of those.. They come to our density to inspire and teach. That'e where I'm getting most of my inspiration.

I find his take on the motive of people getting tattooed to be very interesting - that it's primarily the desire to get ink and the subject matter is secondary. In the end what truly stays is the overall fabric on the skin tattoos leave behind. We usually grow past the meaning that was first associated with when we got the tattoo
