The Hayes put me in mind of the Army 10-tons but the Hayes were set up better. The 10-tons were 6X6 running 903 Cummins which was a dog of a motor with only a 5-speed and lo range, no splitter. But they had a couple of BIG Garwood winches right behind the cab to pull tanks up on the Graggin Wagin trailers through the uprights on each side of the trailers so they could pull on both sides at the same time. Big old trucks but a Hayes'd run circles around them Thanks, Pal and Blessings
If any of you folks up in Canadastan know of any Hayes rigs for sale - preferably in piss-poor condition (bears intact) - point me in the right direction. Bonus points if it's already in the PNW so I can avoid border horsesh*t.

Did Hayes not offer tri drive? Some heavy duty trucks here, even dual steer, no tri drive seems odd
tri drives were not built until the late 1990's hayes was out of business in 1975
