Hi Kati! I really enjoy your videos. I'm speaking off-topic now, but I wanted to tell you that your video some years ago about using the Hobonichi A6 Plain Notebook as your daily minimal bullet journal was kind of a revelation to me, and changed the whole way I did--and still do--things! I had been struggling between the A6 Original and the Cousin. I finally knew I was devoted to the A6 (Cousin ended up to be just too big), but the daily pages of the Original didn't give me *quite* enough lined space, with all the embellishments at top and bottom of the page. When I watched your video, it was a lightbulb switching on in my head! (I know, I'm a little slow, right?). I switched to the plain notebook and have been loving it ever since. THANK YOU! It doesn't seem as though you're using that system yourself anymore, but you sure did change my planner life. 💖
Thank you so so much for your comment ❤️ I love that you took the time to tell me your planner story and I’m so grateful to learn that my video was helping you to find a solution that works for you 😊 At the end of 2023 when I was looking for a solution for my crisis I did flip through that bullet journal you are talking about. I did love it at the time I was doing it and switching to the Techo back then broke my working system 😅 But now I picked up the old Techo and used the empty pages for the rest of 2023 and ordered a new Avec for 2024. So I am using that system in a way again. (My 2024 lineup video is still undone 😬 - but coming someday 🤞) It works, but the quotes still take valuable space. I wish Hobonichi would do a planner without quotes, but I don’t think that will happen… And I have never tried the Cousin and I do dream about it sometimes, but as you say - I’m afraid it’s too big… But the A6 with the quotes… so I understand completely that you found peace in the notebook 😅 They even ruined the Day-Free with the quotes… Okay, now I stop rambling 🤭 Thanks again for commenting 💖
Hey Kati, so glad you're back, yay!!! 🎉🎉🎉 I also have a brown passport TN, but mine is much darker and I love it to bits. Also I'm sorry that you're never happy with the quality. I got mine with a tight elastic as well (it was almost a year ago) but the indentations are gone now. And it scratches like crazy, like I leave a nail mark every time I open it 😆, but it doesnt bother me.

Let's hope and pray for that 🤞🏻🙏🏻 I hope and also strongly believe I will grow to love it. I did condition it today and I already think that it looks and feels better now. As I said - they get better with age, but if I hate it, I'm not going to use it, so I took the shortcut and conditioned it 😅 I don't know if that is against some rules, but I always make my own rules 🤭 I'm glad to hear you love yours 🤎
I used a neutral/colorless leather wax that my spouse has bought for his shoes - that's good enough for me. It does make leathers darker, but I knew it from previous use, so I was prepared. Now the cover is closer in color to what I was expecting it to be 👍🏼
Welcome back! Lovely to see your video. 😍😍😍 My guess is that they ship them with a patina since the vintage vibe is such a big part of the brand. I enjoy how you say exactly what you think for your unboxings and point out details like the uneven colour. It helps me think about whether I would really enjoy the product. Sending good vibes ❤😊
Thank you 😊 I have missed my CZcams-friends ❤️ That's an interesting theory and sounds viable. But - the regular covers I bought didn't come with patina. They came both in good condition, so I don't know what I should expect... I can say that the cover is now - in my opinion - better after conditioning it with leather wax. The color is darker and more even. And it feels better to touch. Maybe it had dried out in storage... And I changed the closure elastic to a lighter brown which looks better. You will see it next probably in my lineup video. Let's see if I have grown to love it by then... 😅
