What an awesome video!!! Impressive !! Quality of the editing and filming is great! Liked and subscribed..and will share. I like your bed connector mounting
yes vez, its awesome, yes indeed, awesome, but if i may suggest, its about time you complete the bom and stop keep ugrading the always newly aluminum parts. its been months even we dont seel the total of, screw, nuts, and bolt types on the BOM. why did you leave us hanging?
I hope you enjoyed this video! If you did, consider Liking and Subscribing for more Exciting Creations! Thank you all for your help and support throughout this build, it was a wonderful journey and I am grateful for the VzBot community!
Not only did you make a beautiful video about this fantastic printer built, you also own one of those, and it prints beautiful. I am jealous but subscribed anyway
Those printed parts are perfection. The layers lines. The flow rate. The lack of ringing!!! The parts almost dont look printed. I'd like to know more about the printer that made those parts.
Wow, thank you for the support! All the parts were printed on my Voron 0.1, which like the VzBot is a community project 3D Printer that you build from scratch (I used an LDO Kit). It's a lovely machine because it was a really exciting build and is great for reliable and reasonably fast prototyping. There are tons of useful content about it on CZcams and also on the Voron Discord - which I definitely recommend joining! If I you have any questions let me know! vorondesign.com/voron0.2
Cool edit. Amazing quality for the printed parts! And thanks for the info in the description, esp the clear view with no extrusion in the way. I did not understand why the front was designed like that! How does your Voron 0 compare with this in terms of performance?
Really glad you found it useful! Thing is the VzBot and the Voron 0.1 are widely different machines, but I'll try to answer your question as well as possible. Firstly, the VzBot is really larger which makes it possible to print big things, but it takes a lot of time and energy to heatsoak. Consequently, the V0.1 is better for printing small parts, or Rapid prototyping. However, the stock VzBot can print a lot faster than the stock V0.1 (both can print really fast with the necessary hardware) making it ideal for fast printing. Furthermore, while the V0.1 is small and there many great kits for it out there, it is often a PITA to build or upgrade. In other words the fact that you have to slide the nuts in the extrusions makes it hard to add things to it if you hadn't planned it from the beginning etc. As shown in the video both machines achieve a chamber temperature of around 45 Celsius, which is adequate, but I will likely insulate at least the VzBot. Also keep in mind that other than different use cases, my VzUltra cost a lot more than my V0.1 did. Hope you found some of this useful, let me know if you have any other questions!
@@ExcitingCreations Thanks, the sort of practical aspect of "both can print really fast" and the consideration of time to heat the chamber is exactly what I was looking for! Do you have any advice and/or small pros/cons from your VZBot now that youve used it more? I am considering a VZ235 ...
@@floodo1 Yes, I would recommend making the z extrusions a few cm taller, because my toolhead cables and PTFE tube have scratched the top panel and the clearance is inadequate. Since building this I've grown fond of Triple Z, but that's mostly a matter of preference and deciding whether the extra complexity/cost, is worth it for you. Other than that, I'd say that while I've encountered some issues, I am quite happy with both the decisions I made and the design. Ah also, if I were building it now I would have probably gone with a high quality magnetic sheet like the ones from CR3D and would have used beacon instead of quickdraw/euclid. Make sure to check out the ongoing build from @404 in the VzBot Discord, he is building a VzUltra with added z clearance.
@@ExcitingCreations d00d thx so much. I'm very interested in beacon as well ... so much faster to just scan in X/Y without having to move Z repeatedly!
I have an ender 3 and it’s been amazing👏🏼, i do want to upgrade in the future and im 100% sure i want to build this! I know the basics but this looks alien to me ngl😂 Could you refer me to a place where i could learn enough to build this?
Hello there! I also started with an Ender! I would recommend taking a look at the channels I've linked in the description and also joining and looking around/ asking questions in the VzBot Discord, you'll find tons of info and help there to successfully build your VzBot. Also CZcams and the internet in general is full of content about custom printers like the ones from Voron, Annex, Rolohaun etc. so that's a great resource too! awsome build , exactly what i was looking for , i want to build one myself , one question though , when you said you upscaled the vz235 by 105mm do you mean you just added 105mm to the vz235 x y extrusions found in the BOM ? , what about the bed , highly appreciate your help
Thank you! Yeah the XY extrusions are 105mm longer and the Z extrusions are 200mm longer. I used 500mm rods and lead screws and used the Mellow 330mm bed!
Thank you very much! For most parts I used Prusament ASA Galaxy Black, for the moving parts and the ones close to the hotend I used Prusament PC-CF Blend, absolutely love this filament!
Nice video, I have built the Vz330, what material you used to print those parts? and it seems lmu10luu goes in very loose, mine, I had to hammer it up 100 times, how you do that?
Thank you! I used Prusament Galaxy Black ASA for most parts and Prusament PC-CF for the parts on the gantry. I spent quite sometime calibrating flow before printing all the parts so that's probably why they fit together well! What number is your VzBot serial by the way? I'd really like to take a look!
The Mellow heater I got has an adhesive sticker in the back which is what gets stuck to the alu plate. On top of that, just to be safe, I added some Red RTV around the edges! (PERMATEX HIGH-TEMP RED RTV SILICONE GASKET MAKER)
