Yo little tip I wish someone told me when i first started is that you’ll naturally develop an art style depending on who your art inspirations are. If you’re first starting I really recommend studying anatomy and just drawing for fun instead of stressing about finding your own style, it’ll come naturally as you develop your skills!
I have a book of how to make a chibi, however I did not understand the part of making the circles, now that I saw this video I know the reason for the circles. Thank you!

Wow, this is great! I usually use this style for kids (a little adjusted though, for more realistic proportions and for my own style) or for a slightly anthropomorphic animal design (you know, if you draw them standing on their back legs). I love it!
Omg Ty I Just Used It And My Art Has Never Looked Cuter ❤❤❤ But I Do Recommend The Legs Not Standing Like That Instead Make Them Facing The Way You Character Is Standing
okay...it turned out really cute, but I wouldn't recommend making it with a toothpick structure okay? and another thing our ribcage is not circular but square!! hope i helped 🥰❤️
This tutorial is super nice! Just remember to keep your character balanced so they don't look like they're leaning. My favorite way is to draw a super light line from the top of the head down to where the feet should be, using a ruler to keep it straight and in line with the angle you want the character to be at. The more similar the amount of detail on each side of the line is, the more balanced the character will look! (Disregard this for action poses, though! Action poses are meant to be unbalanced.)
Just saying people who disliked just probably can’t do it themselves, they are so worried they will be hated on for what they’ve drawn that they have blamed it on the video rather then themselves.
You can also use a bean shape, rectangle shape, and an hour glass shape!

Mhm, and plus it also depends what style you actually kinda want your chibi to be in. So these could work even for a ‘normal’ body type
