Ost is all I hear. It has more emotion and artistic quality than mainstream bullshit songs like the stuff they worship at Grammys and billboard. OSTs are truly underrated.
Some of the AoT tracks, I classify them as rituals or spells cause of the emotion that can be pulled from them and use them accordingly. Typically pre battle war spells.

I love Anime OSTs but I have to contest the latter part of the Statement. First what is it you call "Mainstream Music"? Do you see it as everything that is not Anime OST (Which I'd find very alarming because it would pretty much throw 99,9% of all Music ever made in the same category) or is mainstream Music reserved for all the Musical Genres / Eras you don't like? Either way, it seems a pretty Black & White kinda deal from your POV. Second, there is tons of careful work put into even the most mainstream Songs, and thus a lot of beauty if you decide to taie a closer look. If you've got even a hint of interest for how music achieves its effect and understand some of its building blocks, I highly recommend checking out the channel 12tone. He disects and analyzes every aspect of a song in his videos and draws fun little comics while doing so, often even offering up some additional trivia regarding the Song or artist along the way. He has one on 'Call me maybe' to even offer (what I consider to be, albeit it being pretty catchy) a very Mainstream Song :)
