  • Note: The S10 now sells for over $250. I’d hold out on purchasing until it goes back on sale.
When I was shopping Walmart's Black Friday ad this year, I came across what seemed to be a great deal on a cordless handheld stick vacuum. When I searched online and on Tineco's website for reviews, however, I couldn't find the model number anywhere. I ultimately decided to pick it up and try it out, and I have to say that it works very well! It offers a great amount of suction that can easily vacuum up very messy floors, and it automatically detects how much dirt is being vacuumed up and increases the speed of the motor depending. That allows the battery to last well over 40 minutes in my testing, which is fantastic given the power it offers. It comes with one floor 'head' accessory which has a multi-surface brush (hard bristles for carpets, soft bristles for hard floors). This seems to get all surface-level dirt and some embedded dirt out of my carpets while also getting tiny bits of dust and dirt off of my hard floors; it does struggle to pick up large pieces though. My only worry is that the dustbin and handheld unit don't have great build quality, so I'm hoping the smaller plastic bits don't fail.

Looks like your dad really showed you how to clean house well. At first I thought you were buying a Christmas present, but I see you know how to clean! Hi from Iowa!

I wish there was a way to set the power to a low setting.

The plugs are on the "stick" are power plugs for the power brush (head unit), they have nothing to do with "iloop" sensoring. I have one of these. It absolutely sucks on carpet, even very low pile runners and kitchen rugs. The power brush is so lightweight, it will not "push forward". It will pull back on low pile carpet, but it makes the motor rev, and reduces battery life drastically. Great on hardwood floors, and the "crevice tool" is great for picking up random dust and crumbs. Over all, a nice vac for $118. Don't know the longevity of the battery. It takes more than 4 hours to charge from "red". Dust cup latch is a bit flimsy as you stated. We will see how warranty service comes thru when it breaks.

Thanks for the input. It does struggle on some carpets for me.
