Benji, you should try making pho. I’m making it tonight with beef short rib and beef chuck. Lots of beef bone too for beef soup sold at the frozen section in winco.

great idea! I never tried cooking taiwanese beef noodle soup using short ribs. i usually use beef shank or beef brisket. 😃

Should try to add in some star anise, bay leaves and cinnamon stick together while u fry the beef

That looks fantastic. I could almost smell it! I am puzzled though by using chicken stock in a beef based soup. Why not use beef stock? Does the chicken just add another layer of flavor?
The beef flavor is intense! Yum 😋 There’s a similar Filipino soup called Bulalo with beef shanks, broth, bok choy 🥬, Saba (Filipino banana)and corn (no noodles) eat with rice. Delicious

Just had that. You can totally use beef stock.

This didn't have the key ingredients to make it a taiwanese beef noodle soup, but it still looked amazing!

50 bucks? So $10 each rib. That is expensive.
Technically it’s like two ribs each cause these are big boy cuts. Typically they’re half the size and more expensive. Thats why i got so excited finding these at Costco.

Word. Yeah these were dinosaur size bones 😆 but yes we squeezed a lot of goodness out too because of the broth from the bones. Used meat for two dishes.
