We've visited another place for tide pools - Cabrillo National Monument is San Diego. It's marvelous! No hiking, tide pools are right there when you go down the cliff. The place is run by National Parks system, so if you have an annual National Parks admission, it's free, if not, it's 20 dollars per vehicle. Did you know that if you've got a 4th grader in your household, he/she qualifies for a free year pass to all national parks for the whole family?
And most importantly, we spotted a beautiful and big octopus and managed to catch it on camera quite well. It was a big find for us, we've been to so many tide pools and that was our 1st!

Hii, such a cool shot of the octopus. I did want to share that although the tide pool creatures are so cool to look at, we should not be touching, poking, lifting them out of the water as they are fragile and we want to be respectful of their ecosystem. Im sure we all want them to be around for a long long time so lets all be mindful and protect these awesome organisms :)

Stop poking everything! Can't you just look and admire without touching? How would you like to be going about your day when someone starts poking you in the eye and trying to pick you up? It's not hard to just let things be.

Ever heard of looking with your eyes? Stop touching everything and screaming and jumping around when there’s wildlife around

We are always very cautious about how and who we touch. We never harm anyone. There are actual touching pools in museums where kids are encouraged to touch sea creatures, are taught to do that gently and with love. It helps maintain love. The rangers on site also didn't mind and encouraged care with love and keen interest.

@@Crazyornot_US The ocean is NOT a museum touching pool. What a ridiculous comparison. Children can look and appreciate without needing to touch things. Stop touching marine life.
