  • Throughout history, the people of God have always been most vulnerable to error in times of blessing. In this sermon, Bill Johnson talks about the challenge of blessing, teaching from the life of King Solomon. We often see persecution strengthening and establishing purity of faith, but it’s the blessing of the Lord that is to draw people to Himself. The challenge to us is to steward blessing well.

    I wish i knew of this preacher years ago. I only discovered him in 2021/22 and he preaches about a limitless God and a defeated devil. I look foreard to hearing God's messages through him

    I am convinced God called me to go to South Africa to work in a ministry there. I obediently sold my home and all my household goods, and relocated to Southern California to be prepared to get my visa through the consulate in Los Angeles. In the middle of that transition, I was asked to delay coming. It has now been one year and ten months, my reserves are gone, and I’m job hunting to supplement my Social Security. I recently spoke with my prospective host in SA, and he said it’s okay to come, and there is a place for me. There are several pieces that have to come together before I can move ahead, and I am determined to do nothing to push the doors open, but to be completely attuned to the Lord’s direction, wisdom and timing. I know the cost of jumping into things out of God’s season, and I will not repeat that mistake. WISDOM, WISDOM, WISDOM!!!!
    There is no substitute for HIS wisdom.

    i studied the chapter about the Lord granting Solomon's wish in bible college a few months ago , it could be worth noting that Solomon was breaking a law in Duet about worshiping God in places in the Lord did not specifically designate, it was a violation of the law, you can try to find it in Duet! Bill is my fav pastor thanks for sharing!

    Thank you for continuing to stand with me for my breakthrough. It is around the corner, so I don't want to back down until it is brought and made visible to me by God. He is in control :)

    The instructions for the tabernacle built in the wilderness was quite detailed. I would presume the tabernacle of David’s day would have maintained that design and materials.

    Thanks for another amazing sermon. I really love the point about the difference between Solomon and Davids ministry. I always thought King Soloman (peace) as a parable represented Jesus. I had always wondered if his enormous number of wives was meant to represent the churches connected/betrothed to Christ. The "elect ladies" if you will as in 2 John. That seems to be the case in Song of soloman.

    No, Hosea 3:5 says they will fear God AND his goodness, not that they will fear God “because of” his goodness.

      @@BillJohnsonMinistries Yes, the word “because” denotes a causative relationship between the two. The word “and” simply makes it a list, with no statement of a causative relationship. I’m not saying his overall teaching is off - I dearly love Bill’s teaching. I’m simply saying the text isn’t demonstrating a clear causative relationship.

    • @dorothypollak9094
      @dorothypollak9094 Před rokem

      @@BillJohnsonMinistries I sure do. “And” is additive. “Because” is causative. It’s still an outstanding message, though, and one I’m grateful for. Bill is always so good.

    So, be poor and destitute all your life so as to be obedient toThe Lord, is that what I’m hearing? Because it really makes no sense to preach a sermon like this, at all! Jesus said it in one sentence, he didn’t take 40 minutes! I went to Bethel for 3 years for school, I never heard anything like this! Most of the time I would hear “them” talk about invading Hollywood, invading the “7” spheres or mountains. I mean if being poor is being obedient then maybe everyone who owns these really nice homes in Redding CA and work at Bethel should give them away and turn their bank accounts over to all the impoverished people of Northern California.

    • @dorothypollak9094
      @dorothypollak9094 Před rokem +1

      No, you completely missed the point. The whole point of this is to be on guard so that when God blesses, we don’t get casual about our relationship with God.
