On This Spot - Lee Krasner

Krasner had her first show at Betty Parsons Gallery at age 43. During the 1930s, she had been a true Bohemian, living the life of a liberated woman. An experienced WPA muralist and political activist she had studied at Cooper Union which was free to all regardless of gender, a rarity at the time.
