I rarely write comments, but I am so glad I came across this video which gives me the opportunity. I don't even know if you will ever see this as this is a very old post. Sink Reflections is the single most influential book I have read in my life. It became my coffee table book, and a reference book rather than a "read and put away" book. When I read this book, I was not in a good place and neither was my house. I changed on day one and started following the steps. To this day I no longer have CHAOS. I don't fear the drop by friend, and I look at life differently. I'm glad I have a chance to thank you personally. Thanks for changing my life. Michelle
I see this is an old video, but I had to comment. This video nearly made me cry. You mean someone else struggles with feeling like a failure and gets overwhelmed just trying to keep up? I'm not alone?! I was surfing cleaning help, "how tos", and such, when I came across Flylady! You are SO right about getting ready, you just FEEL more human and energized. I saw comments about shoe-free homes, mine too, but I wear a pair of cheap $5 Wal-Mart shoes that's never been outside. I dub them my "inside shoes" it works. I Don't even leave my top floor until I'm ready and have made both beds (I've even told myself it doesn't have to be perfect) I can't have my coffee until I'm finished, my reward. lol It's surprising how much it helps, but it really does! Baby steps, until learn to fly... without falling on my face 😉 I thank you so much, especially sharing your story. You have a new loyal subscriber!

You are an answered prayer! I got so much done in 20 minutes a day I almost cried I'm not used to that! I'm used to going in circles and not getting anything completed and it is so discouraging. I too suffer with depression and anxiety and I think this is going to save my life!
As a house husband I have struggled with self-anything... discipline, routine, starting, etc. ad naseum. Up to shoes does in fact excite both our dogs. I'm much less likely to fall back in bed (too often for the entire day). My wife works hard and long and provides for us amply. My imperfect execution of FlyLady's routines is changing everything! I enjoyed my professional career before and now I get a charge (blessing) when we spend time together in our increasingly warm and welcoming home. I never really got excited about the job title "house husband," so I made up a new job title for myself and she surprised with that embroidered on an apron. I am the "HearthMaster." Redolent of rich roasting meets, big fires, congenial mead, and of course my Red Wing shoe laces tied. FlyLady, you rock with sparkles!
James...I hope you read this even though it's 3 years later. :) But I think a good title is Domestic Engineer. My mom was a stay at home mom. My dad, who was the associate of an architectural firm, gave her that title :) It's a very important job/calling/responsibility.

It is the 25th of April, not January, and 2:07 pm, not the morning, but I'm starting where I am today. It's not a pretty sight, but Marla, you are 100% correct, and I am W A Y overdue. Each day I would start and never finish. Each distraction took me from my goals. Two days ago, my writing partner dropped off the photos for our new book. Yes; it was 4:00 pm and I was back in my pajamas. (The ones with the Christmas stockings on them, because I'm always in pajamas. Tthey are cotton flannel, and since I'm allergic to nearly everything, I'd convinced myself that was all I could wear and still be comfortable, no matter how ridiculous I looked.) So today IS different. Today, I listened to this video. Today, I'm taking the Ritalin I'm supposed to take but never do because it makes me sweat. Today, I'm putting on a cotton turtleneck, a wool sweater, and yoga pants. (Hey; they're a baby step up for me; don't knock it.) My only lace-up shoes are Scottish dancing shoes, so I can't wear those, but I've got some Mary Jane Keens I promise not to take off. I'm going to join your Facebook Group and post a before and after picture of my kitchen, no matter how much it hurts. Today, I'm making a change. To you 17 people who voted this vid down; shame on you. You've obviously never walked in my bedroom slippers. Today, at age 60 1/2 I am making a change. Amen.

talk about perfect timing. I'm soon going to be quitting my job to focus on getting healthier, getting my chronic health issues under control, and putting serious effort into organizing/ simplifying/ downsizing my life. This is such great advice. I lose so many of my days off now because I just never seem to be able to get started. And I mope around in my old grubbies that I slept in. My intentions are good, but my actions are not those which lead me down the path to success. Obviously, I need a new plan - and I love your advice :-)

Try and think what caused the depression in the first place. When did it start? Is there anything you can do about it? The daily routine tips help but it helps to look at the big picture too.

WOW...I just found your videos last nite and binge watched several. I feel so good about myself 24 hrs later. I got out of bed last nite and "cleaned my sink". So good to wake up to a clean sink. I did what you said...Got up...showered, made my bed, Laced up my shoes (well thats a fib...I live in FL so I put my buckle sandles on), put on make up and went out to lunch with a friend. It turned into a day of shopping, fun and laughter. If I had not seen your mentoring...I would have sat home all day in my pajamas, stuffed my mouth with junk food and felt sorry for myself. I've been doing this for a few years now... And whenever I get a little sidetracked or slip back into the abyss... I return to these videos. And it works! I am so happy to find the flylady! I wish I found this years ago. I'm 66 and just retired I said I need a cleaning routine. All these years I would clean but it would be a all day project that left me angry in a bad mood and I never felt like the job was done. I have been deep cleaning as well as doing daily tasks and decluttering. It's a work in progress but my house looks clean. I have an old acrylic sink that doesn't shine but it looks clean. I'm so happy I found you even if i'm late to the party! I love the flylady💗

Im inspired anew everytime i watch this.This women transformed my life when i had no hope.I read her book when my 4 year old was in Hospital and i had a special needs baby.Plus two very difficult teenagers.Now allmost 6 years later,i still apply her ideas,use her calendar and tools.They are the best!They just dont wear out!.

Your videos are a godsend to me! I have depression and fibromyalgia. My sink looks like your bad examples or worse! Sadly, my apartment looks the same! I continue to watch your blog for encouragement.
Please consider Lyme or other tick borne infections, like bartonella as a possible cause for your Fibro. I've seen so many people recover from Fibro once they treated bacterial infections like Lyme and Bart.
ansteystreet1 Definitely not lyme for me. Been tested, plus wrong season when i got sick. People don't recover from Fibro. They may put it into remission, but they don't recover from it. Some people can put it into remission and others can't. Also Lyme symptoms are very similar to Fibro, can't speak for the other, so it was possibly a wrong diagnosis. That is why Dr's try to carefully diagnose Fibro and make sure it isn't 1 of a million other things. lol
As long as you're aware that 1) A negative test doesn't mean you are free of the infection, testing is not reliable so it's often a clinical diagnosis 2) some patients experience a delay in symptoms thus it can appear years or months after initial infection and 3) bartonella is a separate infection, with different testing and treatment. patricia ferrari Omg. I also have anxiety, depression and Fibromyalgia. I believe it was caused by many years living with hypothyroidism. It's been a struggle because it's like your living with an invisible disease that nobody can relate too. You get judged by people and life just passes you by. I was given cymbalta but I had a really bad reaction to it. So I started eating better, drinking green tea, and light exercise and I feel an improvement. Just starting to drink green tea was an improvement. I hope this helps. Wishing you all the best.

I struggle with chaos, I have a 3yr old and I always feel drained but noticed as you were talking I've been up for more than an hour and Im still in pj's on the couch!🤦♀️ I'm staring at my messy living room that's got toys scattered from TV to couch. I've got lots to do today and frankly didn't know where to begin. Thankfully I cleaned the kitchen last night so i didn't have to do it today. WOW! this is so true I have been doing these things the past month or so. Get up b4 my family. head to the bathroom brush my teeth hair etc.. After that I get dressed in my gym clothes that I picked out the night before. I have found that if I try taking the kids to school & return home my house traps me.

I think I was meant to find you today. I'm retired, 245 lbs more than I weighed when I was preganant! I'm wearing sweats I have worn for 2 weeks day and night non stop. When I worked I was an excellent employee. I got raises and promotions and complements on my organizational skills. I can't do anything unless I have got to answer to someone. Thank you, I will try. I love your books, i was a flybaby before (and somehow i wound up deleting your emails--don't know why or even when!!) and i have a few of your products (control journal, rubba scrubba, both feather dusters, and couple of other things). My issue is because of fibromyalgia, i'm very limited in what i can do at any given time; my body gives out on me with little to no warning. I may have to take your stuff & modify it somewhat for my situation. (I don't bathe at night, i shower in the morning WHEN my body's not screaming in pain.) But i'm going to be optimistic about what i CAN do! Thank you, FlyLady, for always being there for us!

Marla Cilley (Flylady) is such an inspiration! She has helped me change almost every aspect of my life into a more positive one. From my house, my outlook, my way of handling stress...next is my car. For new flybabies just starting out...dont attempt the whole routine! Do the three basics. Sink, shoes, swish&swipe. When that becomes second nature, add one more habit, like laundry. You build up. Also, these are adaptable. She swishes in the am, my friend does that at night. :) good luck!

I don't wear make-up since I became an adult. I am now 55 and still doubt feel the need. I wash my face and brush my teeth, get dressed, a comb my hair, but I do not wear any shoes unless taking out the trash to the compactor (1.5/10 mile) or have to walk or ride farther than that. I have athritis on tge top of my right foot. Being barefoot feels better. I ditched bras since I retired 6 years ago. My home is decltured and cleaned except for the cabinets in the office (nearly there), since I started fluttering on August 1st, 2020. I love you, Marla.

However, after watching this video I have decided to take back my life and get things done. I never really thought about getting dressed to shoes before so I look forward to doing that!

You are so right , fixing how you look is so important. It gives confidence , you can go at any minute, and you feel old. I am 66 years of age, and since I am 14 years old I take cake care of myself every day. I never go with out make up or fixing my hair , and have decent cloths on. Every day I put my make up on as if I am going out. Only when I am ill I don’t but that is rare....

I've been positively impacted by FLYing for some years, through a move, an an overseas assignment. My husband now helps me make the bed as soon as our feet hit the floor - and he looks for the purple rag at the sink! I can't remember the last time I was sidetracked on some crazy project around the house. It's because we are organized and decluttered. This used to kill my focus. Perhaps you will talk about this. Another problem is that when I used to get up, I used to have a cigarette, and it was always a problem if I had my bathrobe on, and there were workers or people around, to go outside with chicken hair. But now after 30 years I quit smoking. I think I was able to because of a true self-love that bloomed in me due to FLYing.

I do not wear shoes in the house and believe in walking on the ground to ground myself & connect with Father God but i do start my day with my clothes on and spend about 1hr each morning doing studies for school, then walk my dog and I divide 2hrs of housework or gardening each day, then shower and get dressed in my office clothes, and go to my home office ( work for hubby) and put in at least 7hrs. I have had to learn discipline but still find myself needing help getting it all done each day. I can get disorganized very easy and need inspiration so i check out YT ladies and glean new ideas. Thank you flylady i look forward to your inspiring way of mastering ones home.
Hi There, If you are having trouble getting sidetracked may I suggest that you get some inside shoes just for the wearing in the house. You would wear them when you wanted to stay focused and get things done quickly. Give it a try and let us know how it works for you. Just found you!! And found this video in 2019!! This is so true!! Get up, wash the sleep out of your eyes, get dressed with shoes on and take on a day!! Have you read the book "the one thing"? Great self help book about focusing on 1 thing at a time until it's done.

I found you Fly Lady and I want to thank you for being special and taking care me . Shine my sink . Set out my clothes . And pre set coffee and breakfast . Make my bed . Bathroom to potty. Take Thyroid pills h2o hour wait to eat or drink . Bathroom to shower and shampoo , personal stuff , dry off , dress to lace up shoes . Brush my teeth , Comb my hair face on . Swish and swipe. Open all windows to air out the house (? About hour ) even in the winter ... as long as no wet stuff is coming into the rooms. Load the washer . Timer on coffee. and Crockpot breakfast oatmeal ready at this time . Breakfast . Computer check what you are doing or the information you have for us Fly babies . It’s only me , myself and I . So lunch is salad and soup or grill cheese and soup . Or left overs from the night before . Crockpot meals . So easy . Monday ~ Hour Home Blessing . Tuesday use to be free day but plan and play .this next one is hard for me Wednesday anti-procrastination day...oh my but I do have a list of honey do things for me ... pick one and work on it till it’s done . Thursday ~ errand day library , post office , bank , shopping with a list , beautyshop, garage to check out Car and visit my friends and help them out . ( makes me feel needed and loved .) Love this one Friday Clear out Car and fill it up with gas . Clean out my purse . Date night ( something special for me ) like Girls night out . Take my grand babies out on a date one at a time . Movie , art class and wine , bowling . Saturday Family Fun Time . With my family that’s grown and the kids . Church at 3:30pm for 4:00pm mass . Sunday renew my spirit day . Talk to God , Meditate. And rest and relax . Something else is hard for me drinking h20 ... working on that . Zones . And I lay out my clothes for the week on Sunday afternoon and fix my pill box . I love your advice, thank you so much. Where I live we never wear shoes in the house, even when we come to visit or in school, we even dress differently at home than when we go to work... but yes, I get the point. Getting dressed and taking care of your hair and make up makes all the difference in the world.

We have a no shoe policy because my husband works as a diesel mechanic. My twist on this (until we get house shoes) is I make sure my socks are on. I had a real bad habit about not being ready to go anywhere because I had no socks on to put my shoes on! It works for us and I feel more productive knowing I won't have to rush to put on socks! :)

As much as I hate too say it, shoes are not actually a great idea for me, I have some nerve damage and I can't feel where I am stepping well in shoes, I trust my ankles and stepping on the cats, all bad. That said, I considered the underlying idea, something to tell your body that you are up for the day and ready to do things, I found it, my bra! Once my bra is on I am revving to go! I do keep a pair of flip flops at the door so I have no excuse not to take out the trash etc...
Shoes, Marana Esmond White says alot if back pain is from allways wearing shoes. Like professional shoes are the worst. As we are not using all the joints in our ankles and feet and this throws our bodies out of alinement. I suffer from back pains. We had a fire in 1988 and I ran barefoot to water house and for my feet full of thorns knocked me down and covered my bottom. Wore socks and shoes always because of that. She has a point of putting on your shoes. Some of us have think a little harder and make our own ruetine like you said.

This is my very first video and I'm super excited to watch more! Except I have an excuse. I feel extremely uncomfortable in anything that's not sweats. I think I've become so use to them that it drives me crazy. Am I allowed to dress up my sweats until I can get clothes that fit? It's me and my 4 kids so I always make sure they're taking care of. I no I'm supposed to put myself first but it's hard sometimes. I also lost my 13 yr old a few years ago so I am just starting to get out of bed and live. It's been rough, especially cause I'm alone. 3 of my kids have mental issues so they're a handful. I am glad I found your vids, tho. I'm ready to start living again!! Bless you for making them! I didn't hear her say that sweats were not an option. Just not pajamas (or whatever a person wore to bed the night before) or anything sloppy. The way I interpret her advice: DON'T wear anything raggedy (holes, tears, stretched out, faded). DO wear flattering clothing (properly sized, in a color that complements a person's skin/hair color, and constructed for a person's body shape). There are many reasonably priced options in comfortable, yet flattering, clothing.

I rarely write comments, but I am so glad I came across this video which gives me the opportunity. I don't even know if you will ever see this as this is a very old post. Sink Reflections is the single most influential book I have read in my life. It became my coffee table book, and a reference book rather than a "read and put away" book. When I read this book, I was not in a good place and neither was my house. I changed on day one and started following the steps. To this day I no longer have CHAOS. I don't fear the drop by friend, and I look at life differently. I'm glad I have a chance to thank you personally. Thanks for changing my life. Michelle

I see this is an old video, but I had to comment. This video nearly made me cry. You mean someone else struggles with feeling like a failure and gets overwhelmed just trying to keep up? I'm not alone?! I was surfing cleaning help, "how tos", and such, when I came across Flylady! You are SO right about getting ready, you just FEEL more human and energized. I saw comments about shoe-free homes, mine too, but I wear a pair of cheap $5 Wal-Mart shoes that's never been outside. I dub them my "inside shoes" it works. I Don't even leave my top floor until I'm ready and have made both beds (I've even told myself it doesn't have to be perfect) I can't have my coffee until I'm finished, my reward. lol It's surprising how much it helps, but it really does! Baby steps, until learn to fly... without falling on my face 😉 I thank you so much, especially sharing your story. You have a new loyal subscriber!
Yes, ONLY wear INDOOR shoes indoors, otherwise you track in all the stuff from outside

You are an answered prayer! I got so much done in 20 minutes a day I almost cried I'm not used to that! I'm used to going in circles and not getting anything completed and it is so discouraging. I too suffer with depression and anxiety and I think this is going to save my life!
As a house husband I have struggled with self-anything... discipline, routine, starting, etc. ad naseum. Up to shoes does in fact excite both our dogs. I'm much less likely to fall back in bed (too often for the entire day). My wife works hard and long and provides for us amply. My imperfect execution of FlyLady's routines is changing everything!
I enjoyed my professional career before and now I get a charge (blessing) when we spend time together in our increasingly warm and welcoming home.
I never really got excited about the job title "house husband," so I made up a new job title for myself and she surprised with that embroidered on an apron. I am the "HearthMaster." Redolent of rich roasting meets, big fires, congenial mead, and of course my Red Wing shoe laces tied.

James...I hope you read this even though it's 3 years later. :) But I think a good title is Domestic Engineer. My mom was a stay at home mom. My dad, who was the associate of an architectural firm, gave her that title :) It's a very important job/calling/responsibility.

It is the 25th of April, not January, and 2:07 pm, not the morning, but I'm starting where I am today. It's not a pretty sight, but Marla, you are 100% correct, and I am W A Y overdue. Each day I would start and never finish. Each distraction took me from my goals. Two days ago, my writing partner dropped off the photos for our new book. Yes; it was 4:00 pm and I was back in my pajamas. (The ones with the Christmas stockings on them, because I'm always in pajamas. Tthey are cotton flannel, and since I'm allergic to nearly everything, I'd convinced myself that was all I could wear and still be comfortable, no matter how ridiculous I looked.) So today IS different. Today, I listened to this video. Today, I'm taking the Ritalin I'm supposed to take but never do because it makes me sweat. Today, I'm putting on a cotton turtleneck, a wool sweater, and yoga pants. (Hey; they're a baby step up for me; don't knock it.) My only lace-up shoes are Scottish dancing shoes, so I can't wear those, but I've got some Mary Jane Keens I promise not to take off. I'm going to join your Facebook Group and post a before and after picture of my kitchen, no matter how much it hurts. Today, I'm making a change.

I'm soon going to be quitting my job to focus on getting healthier, getting my chronic health issues under control, and putting serious effort into organizing/ simplifying/ downsizing my life. WOW...I just found your videos last nite and binge watched several. I feel so good about myself 24 hrs later. I got out of bed last nite and "cleaned my sink". So good to wake up to a clean sink. I did what you said...Got up...showered, made my bed, Laced up my shoes (well thats a fib...I live in FL so I put my buckle sandles on), put on make up and went out to lunch with a friend. It turned into a day of shopping, fun and laughter. If I had not seen your mentoring...I would have sat home all day in my pajamas, stuffed my mouth with junk food and felt sorry for myself. THANK YOU! I will be a forever listener.

I am so happy to find the flylady! I wish I found this years ago. I'm 66 and just retired I said I need a cleaning routine. All these years I would clean but it would be a all day project that left me angry in a bad mood and I never felt like the job was done. I have been deep cleaning as well as doing daily tasks and decluttering. It's a work in progress but my house looks clean. I have an old acrylic sink that doesn't shine but it looks clean. I'm so happy I found you even if i'm late to the party! I love the flylady💗

Im inspired anew everytime i watch this.This women transformed my life when i had no hope.I read her book when my 4 year old was in Hospital and i had a special needs baby.Plus two very difficult teenagers.Now allmost 6 years later,i still apply her ideas,use her calendar and tools.They are the best!They just dont wear out!.

Your videos are a godsend to me! I have depression and fibromyalgia. My sink looks like your bad examples or worse! Sadly, my apartment looks the same! I continue to watch your blog for encouragement.

Please consider Lyme or other tick borne infections, like bartonella as a possible cause for your Fibro. I've seen so many people recover from Fibro once they treated bacterial infections like Lyme and Bart.
ansteystreet1 Definitely not lyme for me. Been tested, plus wrong season when i got sick.
People don't recover from Fibro. They may put it into remission, but they don't recover from it. Some people can put it into remission and others can't.
Also Lyme symptoms are very similar to Fibro, can't speak for the other, so it was possibly a wrong diagnosis. That is why Dr's try to carefully diagnose Fibro and make sure it isn't 1 of a million other things. lol
As long as you're aware that 1) A negative test doesn't mean you are free of the infection, testing is not reliable so it's often a clinical diagnosis 2) some patients experience a delay in symptoms thus it can appear years or months after initial infection and 3) bartonella is a separate infection, with different testing and treatment. patricia ferrari Omg. I also have anxiety, depression and Fibromyalgia. I believe it was caused by many years living with hypothyroidism. It's been a struggle because it's like your living with an invisible disease that nobody can relate too. You get judged by people and life just passes you by. I was given cymbalta but I had a really bad reaction to it. So I started eating better, drinking green tea, and light exercise and I feel an improvement. I've got lots to do today and frankly didn't know where to begin. Thankfully I cleaned the kitchen last night so i didn't have to do it today. I think I was meant to find you today. I'm retired, 245 lbs more than I weighed when I was preganant! I'm wearing sweats I have worn for 2 weeks day and night non stop. When I worked I was an excellent employee. I got raises and promotions and complements on my organizational skills. I can't do anything unless I have got to answer to someone. Thank you, I will try. I love your books, i was a flybaby before (and somehow i wound up deleting your emails--don't know why or even when!!) and i have a few of your products (control journal, rubba scrubba, both feather dusters, and couple of other things). My issue is because of fibromyalgia, i'm very limited in what i can do at any given time; my body gives out on me with little to no warning. I may have to take your stuff & modify it somewhat for my situation. (I don't bathe at night, i shower in the morning WHEN my body's not screaming in pain.) But i'm going to be optimistic about what i CAN do! Thank you, FlyLady, for always being there for us!

Marla Cilley (Flylady) is such an inspiration! She has helped me change almost every aspect of my life into a more positive one. From my house, my outlook, my way of handling stress...next is my car. For new flybabies just starting out...dont attempt the whole routine! Do the three basics. Sink, shoes, swish&swipe. When that becomes second nature, add one more habit, like laundry. You build up. Also, these are adaptable. She swishes in the am, my friend does that at night. :) good luck!

I don't wear make-up since I became an adult. I am now 55 and still doubt feel the need. I wash my face and brush my teeth, get dressed, a comb my hair, but I do not wear any shoes unless taking out the trash to the compactor (1.5/10 mile) or have to walk or ride farther than that. I have athritis on tge top of my right foot. Being barefoot feels better. I ditched bras since I retired 6 years ago. My home is decltured and cleaned except for the cabinets in the office (nearly there), since I started fluttering on August 1st, 2020. I love you, Marla.

I am 66 years of age, and since I am 14 years old I take cake care of myself every day. I never go with out make up or fixing my hair , and have decent cloths on. Every day I put my make up on as if I am going out. Only when I am ill I don’t but that is rare....

I've been positively impacted by FLYing for some years, through a move, an an overseas assignment. My husband now helps me make the bed as soon as our feet hit the floor - and he looks for the purple rag at the sink! I can't remember the last time I was sidetracked on some crazy project around the house. It's because we are organized and decluttered. This used to kill my focus. Perhaps you will talk about this. Another problem is that when I used to get up, I used to have a cigarette, and it was always a problem if I had my bathrobe on, and there were workers or people around, to go outside with chicken hair. But now after 30 years I quit smoking. I think I was able to because of a true self-love that bloomed in me due to FLYing.

I do not wear shoes in the house and believe in walking on the ground to ground myself & connect with Father God but i do start my day with my clothes on and spend about 1hr each morning doing studies for school, then walk my dog and I divide 2hrs of housework or gardening each day, then shower and get dressed in my office clothes, and go to my home office ( work for hubby) and put in at least 7hrs. I have had to learn discipline but still find myself needing help getting it all done each day. I can get disorganized very easy and need inspiration so i check out YT ladies and glean new ideas. Thank you flylady i look forward to your inspiring way of mastering ones home.

You would wear them when you wanted to stay focused and get things done quickly. Give it a try and let us know how it works for you. Take Thyroid pills h2o hour wait to eat or drink . Bathroom to shower and shampoo , personal stuff , dry off , dress to lace up shoes . Brush my teeth , Comb my hair face on .
Swish and swipe.
Open all windows to air out the house (? About hour ) even in the winter ... as long as no wet stuff is coming into the rooms.
Load the washer .
Timer on coffee. and Crockpot breakfast oatmeal ready at this time .
Breakfast .
Computer check what you are doing or the information you have for us Fly babies .
It’s only me , myself and I . So lunch is salad and soup or grill cheese and soup . Or left overs from the night before .
Crockpot meals . So easy .
Monday ~ Hour Home Blessing . Tuesday use to be free day but plan and play .this next one is hard for me Wednesday anti-procrastination day...oh my but I do have a list of honey do things for me ... pick one and work on it till it’s done .
Thursday ~ errand day library , post office , bank , shopping with a list , beautyshop, garage to check out Car and visit my friends and help them out . ( makes me feel needed and loved .)
Love this one Friday
Clear out Car and fill it up with gas . Clean out my purse . Date night ( something special for me ) like Girls night out .
Take my grand babies out on a date one at a time . Movie , art class and wine , bowling .
Saturday Family Fun Time . With my family that’s grown and the kids . Church at 3:30pm for 4:00pm mass .
Sunday renew my spirit day . Talk to God , Meditate. And rest and relax .
Something else is hard for me drinking h20 ... working on that .
Zones .
And I lay out my clothes for the week on Sunday afternoon and fix my pill box .

Where I live we never wear shoes in the house, even when we come to visit or in school, we even dress differently at home than when we go to work... but yes, I get the point. We have a no shoe policy because my husband works as a diesel mechanic. My twist on this (until we get house shoes) is I make sure my socks are on. I had a real bad habit about not being ready to go anywhere because I had no socks on to put my shoes on!
It works for us and I feel more productive knowing I won't have to rush to put on socks! :)
You can have a separate pair of shoes that are designated only for in the house.

As much as I hate too say it, shoes are not actually a great idea for me, I have some nerve damage and I can't feel where I am stepping well in shoes, I trust my ankles and stepping on the cats, all bad. That said, I considered the underlying idea, something to tell your body that you are up for the day and ready to do things, I found it, my bra! Once my bra is on I am revving to go! I do keep a pair of flip flops at the door so I have no excuse not to take out the trash etc...
VIctoria Jankowski Shoes aren't a good option for me. Maybe put on a favorite jewelry piece instead!
Shoes, Marana Esmond White says alot if back pain is from allways wearing shoes. Like professional shoes are the worst. As we are not using all the joints in our ankles and feet and this throws our bodies out of alinement.
I suffer from back pains. We had a fire in 1988 and I ran barefoot to water house and for my feet full of thorns knocked me down and covered my bottom. Wore socks and shoes always because of that. She has a point of putting on your shoes. Some of us have think a little harder and make our own ruetine like you said.

This is my very first video and I'm super excited to watch more! Except I have an excuse. I feel extremely uncomfortable in anything that's not sweats. I think I've become so use to them that it drives me crazy. Am I allowed to dress up my sweats until I can get clothes that fit? It's me and my 4 kids so I always make sure they're taking care of. I no I'm supposed to put myself first but it's hard sometimes. I also lost my 13 yr old a few years ago so I am just starting to get out of bed and live. It's been rough, especially cause I'm alone. 3 of my kids have mental issues so they're a handful. I am glad I found your vids, tho. I'm ready to start living again!! Bless you for making them! I didn't hear her say that sweats were not an option. Just not pajamas (or whatever a person wore to bed the night before) or anything sloppy. The way I interpret her advice:
DON'T wear anything raggedy (holes, tears, stretched out, faded).
DO wear flattering clothing (properly sized, in a color that complements a person's skin/hair color, and constructed for a person's body shape).
There are many reasonably priced options in comfortable, yet flattering, clothing.

oh Marla you must see if my dd6 and ds3 hears the music of this video they come running.ds3 gets a huge smile when he sees you.They know this lady is helping mum get her life together.I have 4 kids and I am so glad I can pass your system on to them.
I live in Japan- the shoes indoors will be a problem. Maybe if I buy some strictly for indoors....
I had the same problem when I lived there - I think wearing room slippers is still pretty helpful and makes me feel more 'mobile'.
I bought a pair of shoes just for inside the house- I never use them out.
