- Dry Age is amazing, everything I had that was dry age it not only enhanced the flavor but made it super tender. Today I dry aged a whole chicken to see what would happen and to my surprised this happened.

Since your body produces around 2000 mg of Cholesterol by itself and every cell in our body needs it, I'd say the evidence is clear that we actually need far more Cholesterol than you think.

@@Nite-owl indeed the production of cholesterol is demand driven process,just stop damaging the cholesterol that traps it in the bloodstream by glycation/oxidation and you will always have the correct amount of cholesterol that you are supposed to have and need.
They deliver nutrient/materials from A-B cells. When it get damaged by oxidation/glycation the colesterol can not deliver it payload to B Cell hence the B will signal the body to produce more.
The damaged cholesterol becomes hard like grain of sand and damages the blood vessels and cause plack build up and is stuck in the blood stream.
Carbs and sugars do damage the cholesterol so by intermediate fasting and eating ketogenic diet as a lifestyle and you are all set.

prodigypenn Actually if you go back and count he only used 7 sticks of butter. A stick of butter is roughly 4 ounces by weight, multiply that by 7. It equals 20 ounces. Divide that by 16; the amount of ounces of in a pound. It’s actually ≈ 1.75 pounds. Not 7lbs, you drama queen. 🙄

Here is my 2 cents on this idea:
Why don't you use buttermilk to tenderize the chicken? You can rinse it off after enzymes do their job and then brush butter on the chicken.
That way, Angel doesn't have to run 5 miles.
Buttermilk doesn't taste as good as real butter. But it is definitely cheaper.
And that breaks rule one never wash your meat

You should have put the chicken on a rack with something under before putting the chicken in, the oven then you can fridge the leftover butter and you would have an incredible poultry butter. This is a classics way to coock the chicken, whit the exception of the two days of dry-age. That was quite interesting !!

I tried making this today without the rice. I also add garlic paste and a little bit of chilli flakes in the butter mixture. The chicken is so tender and i can took out the bone easily just like in the video. What i like the most is the skin, so buttery but crispy at the same time

This was more of a "butter brine" than a dry-age.
What if you dry aged it in butter, but then cooked it on a rack? As it cooks it would naturally get basted by the melting butter, and the butter would end up in the tray below instead of creating a butter bath. Thoughts?

Amazing food channel! Not only you show how food is cooked, not to mention some techniques are newly invented, but the tasting session just made it all worthwhile to watch. Found my new food channel😁.
Three important ingredients weren't used: garlic, onion and mushrooms. I can't wait to try this, but when I oven-roast a whole chicken I lift up the skin everywhere and sprinkle in dry basil, oregano, chopped fresh garlic and minced garlic from a jar and olive oil. My house smells like a delicious pizza is baking! I also have gone as far as injecting marinades throughout the chicken prior to oven-roasting. This is going to be incredibly good!

I just rub butter and seasonings on top of the skin and under the skin as well. You get it under the skin and it stays against the meat while it cooks after wiping the seasonings off the skin because I've dry brined it for a week. Rub it down in butter and bake that sucker. Mmmmmmmmmm.

I might be a bit late and you may have known this already but if u like the taste of buttery rice, u might like "Nasi Lemak" (literally butter-soaked rice) but its more edible and literally not drained in butter i guess haha, and theres also "Nasi Minyak" (vegetable-oil-soaked rice). there are actually other varieties of buttered rice in the SE Asian countries. they're just probably less known
Good grief... now I miss Malaysia even more. I used to live there and that country is food heaven (Indonesia and Thailand too, but I didn’t live there). All my comfort foods are dishes I learned to eat and cook there and in the neighbouring countries. I now live in the countryside in Europe and I know behind my back people call me the ‘crazy lady’. Not all that surprising as I order chicken feet at the butcher’s, and someone dropping in for a morning coffee can see me having rice for breakfast. Or noodles. Or roti canai. Or... well, you get my drift. Cole to think of it, Gufa definitely needs to try beef rendang. 😊

Just imagine two tall blue-eyed European women enjoying all your breakfast staples and freaking out the local farmers who think breakfast can only mean bacon, eggs, bread and whatever goes on bread. When it happens, their faces are priceless.
Not that I don’t enjoy a nice European style breakfast. But when I miss the joys of my childhood or when I need food therapy it’s Southeast Asian foods I turn to. The rice are good because of the oil from chicken. Chicken rice are usually made with chicken stock, so it kinda work the same.
My suggestion would be to cook with a lot of rice like for 20/30 worth of people. Cook it like briyani gam(seal container).

I think maybe he just has a very low bar for these experiments after some of the horrible disgusting outcomes. Like the nutella dry age, or the 30 day brisket, etc. That kind of stuff would drop my bar too lol as long as it wont kill me I'd be somewhat happy lol
