- Join me to explore Disney Springs: the shopping, dining, and entertainment district at Disney World. Admission and parking are free as Disney Springs is more of a shopping mall rather than a theme park. Disney Springs is divided into four areas: Marketplace, The Landing, Town Center, and West Side. The complex is bordered by Lake Buena Vista to the north and the parking garages and surface lots to the south. The "story" behind Disney Springs is that it was settled in the mid-1800s by a cattle rancher who discovered the town's namesake springs and the town subsequently expanded from the springs outwards.

Thanks for this video, Im going on a cruise in December 2023 and one of the tours offered is this one, I wasn't sure if it was worth paying $42 to just go shopping but so far this seems like a nice little tour to do. The other choice they have is the Universal City Walk which seems interesting too but has more bars and restaurants than shops and because we will be going there on a cruise ship tour our time there is limited and I doubt we will be able to enjoy the night vibe fully.
Disney Springs is fun.. so I think it's worth it

7:38 if you want to go to gideons without the que, you have to get to the park at 9 am then get online and they open 9:50 that line builds up quick, when you get in you can only buy 6 cookies, they have another one in winter park about 30 minutes from disney no waiting

Thank you very much for the DS tour. You hit the nail on the head about the Earl of Sandwich being a great restaurant. They have a great variety not to mention some of the most delicious sandwiches that I have ever had. Now, about Ghirardelli’s you have to buy one of their ice cream sundae’s. Yes they are expensive but when are you going to be at a Ghirardelli’s again? Oh my gosh, they are incredible. BTW, man, you are walking at a good clip, whew!

Great Video Chris. Good to see some more Disney content. We are going to WDW in May 2023 so I am starting to plan where to eat & what to do. We have been to Disney Springs in 2014 & ate dinner in both T-Rex & Rainforest Cafe. They were amazing. Also can’t wait to try Earl of Sandwich this time as we didn’t get to try in when we were in Las Vegas in August. 😊. Looking forward to the other WDW videos.

23:30 this is were you go to sit in the summer months it has AC an if you sit in front of the stores there AC is blasting out into the area , believe me it gets hotttt!!!!!!! in orlando , disney blasts the AV in there stores because they want you to come in and spend money
if you go on the ballon before 10 am you get a discount , disney springs opens at 9am but most of the stores open at 10, and some are not run by disney and they can open on there own time
So fun!
you can only use surfice parking on the weekends and maybe on holidays, otherwise you have to use orange and then they open up lime as needed. i think the reason is they have metal detectors to get in and they would have to pay the cast members to work, so they open as needed
the polite pig is a toprated restuarnt in disney springs and they use to carry gideons cookies , but I dont think they do anymore but it doesnt hurt to ask
Great video Chris. As a native Southern Californian, I've done a few trips to Disneyland in my life, haven't been recently in the last few years, not since 2009. Back then, admission was $72 per adult. I'm old enough to remember when admission was $55 for adults( circa 1986 when I was four). I would like to go to DW . I would like to experience Epcot and the World Pavilion.
I wonder if Disneyworld has a shuttle that picks up guests at Orlando international airport like Disneyland has shuttles that makes trips to LAX John Wayne? Jaleo is probably one of Spanish chef José Andrés' restaurants. He has several restaurants across the country from D.C. ( where the Original Jaleo is) to the SLS hotel in Beverly Hills. He's also a wonderful humanitarian, he's set up pop up restaurants where ever there's been a natural disaster over the last few years to help feed those affected. I used to watch his show "Made in Spain" that came on PBS. Every week he'd do recipres from a different region of Spain in his home kitchen and would show his travels in that specific region. I loved watching the show , it showed how much he loved his home country, how much he loved being a dual citizen and merging the two cultures.
Disney World itself doesn't have a shuttle from the airport, but there are 2 private companies that do offer it

next time you are in orlando let me know I will tell you some great places to go, up the street from disney springs is the 1st building built on disney property , it was the welcome center 5 min drive from were you are right now in this video

@@YellowProductions we are in Orlando every 2-4 months. You should check out the Disney character warehouse for cheap Disney souvenirs straight from the parks. I can’t wait to get out of the Michigan snow and get down to the Florida sunshine
next time you are there you should make a point to go into gideons ,its a cross between beetle juice and harry potter, the cookies are worth the wait or should I say weight
This was great Chris! I’m going to be in Orlando next month for a day and a half and was trying to decide between Disney or Universal. Since I’m staying at the Warldorf, doing 5-6 hours here might be the perfect way to split my day between Disney Springs and Waldorf!

@@YellowProductions I didn’t want to spend the whole day at the hotel, and don’t think I want to spend a day in Disney. So Disney Springs is a great way to spend half a day. I’ll probably go in the afternoon and have dinner there too.

Great walkthrough! I thought Fall was Hurricane season in Florida? I might be wrong.
One pro-tip, if the drink sampler at the Coca-Cola store is like the one in Vegas... NEVER DRINK THE FLAVOR BEVERLY! It's like someone took carbonated water and dumped a vile of perfume into it. Horrible stuff :)
Also, I think this place would be great to navigate if they supplied floating Dais's like the one in Return of the Jedi, so we could Jabba float our way though the Springs after eating copious amounts of great food!

Kind of.. but indirectly. There is no transport from Disney Springs direct to the theme parks. You'd have to take a bus to a hotel first. Then a bus from the hotel to a Theme park

Disney Springs is free... no tickets needed. Just walk in!
What resorts are connected by boat to Disney Springs?
Face coverings are optional for Guests in both outdoor and indoor locations, as well as Disney transportation. It is recommended Guests who are not fully vaccinated continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, including indoor attractions and theaters and on enclosed transportation.
Please note, face coverings are not permitted while experiencing water slides or in the water.
