Great videos! I've found that supplementing their meals with hydrolyzed collagen powder makes a big difference. Around 2/3 level teaspoon per day for a 10 pound dog. I think they heal much faster and more completely and become more resilient also. I noticed subtle results after a couple weeks but after six weeks the changes were obvious.

My female Malinois saw a bird and she quickly stood up to chase it. She stood up so abruptly that she injured herself and was temp paralyzed for 1 hour in the back legs and tale. We went straight to the vet and he told us to give her anti-inflammatory drugs and wait for it to improve. She is doing better now, she walks and moves her tail, but she runs very strangely, she uses both legs at the same time, she tends to slightly rotate her whole back body towards the left and she can't raise her tail all the way high-up to the sky as she used to (she is a very proud dog). I can't do x-rays etc. and I am learning massages and exercises to help her, but without diagnosis I don't know what her condition is. She is always so happy so it is difficult for me to understand where the pain is. I just do all the techniques for back pain, hip problems and IVDD. Thank you for your videos, you help us immensely!

MRSI diagnosed grade 5 IVDD (no peep pain sensation) in my 5yo mini Daxie. He had surgery 7 days ago and is still completely paralysed in his legs and entire rear end. Lots of rehab, physio and hydrotherapy to come. I'm terrified he will never regain the use of his legs. 😢

Hey. Can you please make an update? Is he ok now??? I have a 5 years old frenchie and he got paralyzed in type 2-3. And now we are in 4th day after surgery and he is paralyzed his legs. Before surgery he could walk around 😢

@christina_k also, your Frenchie may seem worse so soon after surgery as his op site will have swelling which presses on his spinal cord, so that should settle down.

my dog is suffering IVDD (level 1~2). the doctor told my dog to stay calm/rest for 2 weeks. is that okay if I do this massage to my dog? Or should I leave him alone and rest for the full 2 weeks to heal?

If it's an acute aggravation, I would wait until the inflammatory response subsides. Therefore if they are still sensitive to the area of touch then hold off.

@@k9activehealth he fell off the bed last Friday tiny senior chihuahua who was already using a wheelie from an injury 1 year ago this time he scooped himself off the bed by accident(carpet floor) couple places I touch he’s sensitive to middle bottom of spine and above the soulder hes not unable to stand on his wheelie I have to spoon feed and use seringue for water which he kinda chokes to swallow 😔 it’s no looking good but I’m not giving up last time looked like he was gonna die but he made it. So I should wait before moving his limbs my concern is damage where he won’t b able to poop this is very disappointing because I had to cut my hours now I had to leave my job and the money situation vets are very expensive so I’m trying to do it on my own just in the past 10 it’s been well over 12k for both dogs and this was a real pull back to being worse than before but I won’t give up he’s not giving up and I’m not either. I used the videos for physical therapy and try to heal as much as possible. I used heat and that when he became less mobile and started looking more paralyzed should I use ice instead?
