I saved this video about 2 months ago I finally got off my 🍑 to attempt this and it worked 😮🙌🙏🏼 I didn’t have dielectric grease but there was some good residue left around the assembly to spread around. I also wasn’t sure what you used initially to clean the old grease off so I just used rubbing alcohol and q tips to clean it off. Great step by step video Thank you 🙏🏼
Thanks very much for your excellent video. I used this method to repair the wiper switch on 2007 Suzuki swift sport, which appears to use the same switch. Thanks again
I suspect this is a generic switch used by a number of Japanese automotive companies, and suggest Your fix would apply to many vehicles from a similar time frame, or configuration.
Great video and was enormously helpful in locating and removing the unit. Sadly this fix didn’t work for me and my intermittent wipe is still not working. Ordered a replacement switch on EBay. Hopefully that will do the trick. Oh, and I had to pull the steering wheel on my 2004 Grand Vitara to access two screws that hold the lower steering column shell.
great video, thanks for posting this!!! (I have a 2006 Grand Vitara as well, like the vehicle although in North America we do not get the diesel, and Suzuki pulled out a few years ago).
