MIND BLOWN - Toy Hunting at Lakeland Antique Mall

- Martyn is still in Florida and has found an Antique Mall in Lakeland for a bonus toy hunt. To his surprise, he found it was full modern and vintage Star Wars toys, display pieces and merch amongst aisles of pop culture goodies from Batman to Star Trek to TMNT. There's Back to the Future, GI Joe, Avengers, Spawn, Disney and Halo action figures, Masters of the Universe playsets, Hot Wheels cars, comic books, Cosplay outfits and so much more... Oh, and Funko Pops.
It was mind blowing! Why aren't these in the UK?

I always enjoyed hitting up Antique Malls and similar shops whenever I get a chance. Of course, the deals were seemingly better 20 years ago, but occasionally you can still find some great vintage SW stuff. Regardless, it's enjoyable to just walk around and check everything out. It can be rather chaotic at times with everything jammed in but that's half of the appeal too.
Seeing those Disney 3.75" Droids priced at $75 ea was nuts (and piled in a bin like they were $5 clearance figures had me laughing).
I know prices in these types of shops can vary widely - from reasonable deals to outrageously overpriced. But at least in person you can put your hands on the item, versus purchasing things online only having photos to reference.

I’m so jealous that you have all these amazing antique malls and flea markets in the U.S. we have nothing like that here 😞. My ambition when next in the U.S. is to attend one of your conventions or toy fairs as they look massive compared to ours.
You are 100% on the pricing too. There was the occasional bargain but strangely the newer items were more expensive than the slightly older items 🤯.

Great video Martyn, lots of temptations there for me. Only picked up a carded Lak Sivrak last week… think I got a good deal. Some of the prices look good, but those Droid Factory prices were insane. Looking forward to seeing all your pickups soon… going to be an epic video I think 🤔 😂
