- In this lure making tutorial, I will do something, I didn't show on the channel yet, balsa crank bait with simple rattle system. First part of the video includes designing and shaping of the lure blank, installing trough wire, weight and making simple rattle chamber. Enjoy the lure building 😉

Thanks Ozzie 🙂 yeah, originally I was placing two drops of SG, but sometimes it it would tear apart too big piece of balsa and made the halves not even, double sided tape is spot on 👌

I followed your example and attached scales to the lures with aluminum tape, but there was a big difference between watching and actually doing it!

Just stumbled across your channel. Gotta say I have really enjoy your approach. I started making lures by forming them out of broom handles and crude hardware, and then eventually switched to soft plastics. Watching your videos really made me appreciate lures and the craftsmanship that goes into them! Keep up the good work!!

Подойдет березовая древесина, что касается шпателя, обязательно используйте пластик от настоящего компакт-диска, а не от упаковки/коробки. Он не самый сильный, но для приманки, не ныряющей на дно, должно хватить ;)

@@SuchaJerkCustomLures Man, you are such a jerk! Ha, just kidding. I'd love to take up fishing at some point in the near future. We have some of my dad's old fishing poles in the garage and it would be nice to put them to use. I might have a hard time using some nice pieces of sculpture as lures though, I think I'd set them up as display pieces.

Hi, no I rarely do a series of lures, so I just always free hand it and eyeball the weight distribution. But if you scale down the thumbnail picture, until the lure is as long as you need, you'll have all there in place 😉

Спасибо 🙏 Ну, в основном, исходя из моего опыта, для приманок, которые должны быть тонущими или близкими к критическому балансу, я помещу ожидаемое количество светодиода / вольфрама на герметичный корпус приманки и протестирую его в воде, для плавающих приманок я в общем есть представление сколько ставить. Когда дело доходит до размещения снова, исходя из опыта, несколько ключевых моментов, компактный вес в середине тела, широкое движение X, несколько выстрелов вдоль тела, плотное движение X, вес низко в животе, стабильный в текущей без стороны мигание, вес в середине тела, менее устойчивый, но мерцающий по бокам (так называемое перекатывающее действие).
