Very timely. About to have a go at a small garden gate using 10mm square bar and need these exact tongs. Thanks for posting. Love the small tips you add along the way, look forward to your next vid.
On the forge weld, I use a charcoal forge during the cooler months and have had success with welds but in summer (now technically Autumn but still bloody hot) I use a single burner propane forge and just can't get up to the required heat. Is that normal or do I need to adjust my burner.

Hi Michael, I wouldn't be well-versed in welding in a gas forge. I use my gas forge for production work and weld in my coal forge. The outside temperature shouldn't affect welding in a gas forge too much once it has sufficient time preheating. Depending on how cold it is, you may need to adjust it!
