2014 Nurburgring 24h onboard BMW M235i Racing

- This is the first lap of the 2014 Nurburgring 24h rennen, onboard Ring-Attack #303 BMW M235i Racing with the driver Jesse Krohn.
Data logging was done using RaceChrono Pro on Samsung Galaxy S3 connected to Dual XGPS 160 GPS-receiver and OBDLink MX bluetooth OBD-II reader. Video is recorded with GoPro 3+ Black edition with 720p 50hz setting. The video and data is married using RaceChrono Pro's upcoming feature that allows linking and syncing with video files from external cameras. No other software than RaceChrono Pro was used in making of this video.

The driver is Jesse Krohn and I'm sure this is not the last we hear from him. Amazing talent! He's driving for BMW Motorsport Junior program now.
I saw the VLN-Race few weeks ago. This team won the race with 9:12 fastest lap (probably Krohn), so 24 sec. faster. It was foggy and wet on the track. So this lap was rather slow than crazy.
Danyel Jee the VLN Variante version of the circuit is about 22 seconds faster than the 24h Variante in this video. The difference is in the GP circuit. So Jesse has M235i Racing lap record on both variants. Also it is not same team, this VLN10 winner car was run by MPB Racing Team, not Ring Attack. Both of the drivers have driven for Ring Attack earlier so it's easy mistake to make :)

Ja Nein It is original speed, no cheating in this video. The 9 minute 35 second lap times are normal for the best drivers in the BMW M235 Racing Cup in Nurburgring 24h variante.
RaceChrono Ok. I didnt want to offend you it just looks so unreal how fast these cars are going and how fast the suspension is working etc. Amazing!
Ja Nein CZcams now has the option to upload videos with a framerate higher than 30. This one (assuming your browser is compatible) plays in 50fps. You're getting almost twice the frames of animation so it looks much smoother than typical videos.
Is there an airbag in this wheel ? I guess not but that wheel doesn't look really "racing".
There's no airbag but it is otherwise a production series wheel

Jeffrey A That's the Motorsports M wheel. One can tell by the shift lights and grip material. Have seen several on E92 M3s as I work for BMW.
