Messi's time as a top player was over since last season when he struggled in a farmers league, but people are still overrating him because he got assists in a trash league. He fell off at a younger age than cr7 too
Messi is a true technician and baller in every sense of the word. Just like Ronadinho, Modric, Zidane, Iniesta etc. These are players that are able to play ball even if the athletism has gone. Cr7 is not built like that.

The Three Stooges' - Let's puts things in prespectives with the last three managers: Moyes, Van Gaal, Mourinho. Moyes - Out of his depth, West Ham suits him.
Van Gaal - should have won the League with squad he had but instead he decided to send everybody to sleep until he got 5th place so the board had to act.
Mourinho - even though he was successful that was the worst football we've seen at Man Utd post Fergie that went Toxic so the board had to act. So No More Defensive type Coaches e.g. Conte - Tottenham suits him, Rogers - Leicester suits him etc...
Ole has been the best Manager since Ferguson so we need to appreciate his contributions to our present state of affairs, managing recruits & sense of direction. Ole wanted us to enjoy our football again so we're glad for that & we're been looking forward to the next game. Unfortunately, the board parted company with Ole by mutual consent due to recent poor results. All the best, Ole & thanks.
Let's puts things in prespective cos initially Ole had to do a sort of cleansing by offloading certain players who weren't Man Utd type. Ole was doing a decent Job, yes he had a few issues to sort out but with a little patient especially from the FlipFlop fan base, he could have been sorted. The recruits in the summer pushed expectation to another level.
All Ole needed was experienced coaches in the summer to deal with the extra demands so you wondered why the club didn't address this sooner unless they were not happy with Ole's progression.
The feelings is that Ronaldo signing put everything to another level so he had to deliver & Ole didn't make the necessary adjustment to deal with going to the next level that effected team selection, decision making & expectations that affected form that effected his outcome. We thought the board would have nip it in the bud but instead acted hasty & decided to overreact cos of flipflop fan pressure, that wasn't pleasant to see.
To succeed with this squad then Internally should have the first option to take over otherwise seek an Offensive experienced Coach to fit the Man Utd progression. Now we have an improved Offensive Manager in Erik Ten Hag who has the skill set to make this a success club as long as he uses the squad to it's fully potential!
