- Frequently I see new Jeep owners asking what's a good "beginners' trail" to take, and Black Mountain Truck Trail is perfect for those new to offroading.
In this video I show some of the beautiful scenery one could see on this trail while talking about some beginner tidbits to consider.
Thank you for watching :)

I ran this a few months ago (post Hillary) with Pizza Cutters at 25psi on the JKU and had no problem. It is rutted out, but definitely passable.
Nice!
You’re so right about those trails when it’s really wet. I went up bee canyon after it rained and the tire ruts from people going up was so bad, it was worse than the rain ruts in some spots. Everywhere else was just deep tire ruts, not fun.
Concur!!!
Beautiful views even with the haze
Definitely!
Nice video, fun trail and great picnic spot!
Definitely and ty!
In total agreement with the trail overview. I have had frustration with this trail, though, because the last two times I have tried to drive guests up the trail, it has been closed. So I'm glad that it was open for this run. It's a long way to drive to end up disappointed for me.
Yeah, I've turned around twice myself too due to weather closure.
