First of all don’t listen to the others I love ur ranking😂 I can’t say I agree with all of it but it’s really honest and not just the first 7 albums at the top. Ofc I love those 7 but to me Maiden is one of the few bands that continued to put out really great albums past their “prime” so to speak. (Rush and Priest also come to mind🤔)
My list is kinda similar to yours in the way that I have some “hot takes”😂 But for me of their 17 albums, Maiden have only put out 3 albums that I’d consider subpar. But even then like u said, those albums have some solid cuts👌🏽

I enjoy when people do these rankings because no two are alike since everyone has different tastes and opinions as to what sticks and doesn't. Mine is a bit controversial because I don't rank Piece Of Mind anywhere near the top, just didn't land with me. One huge difference is Fear of the Dark is actually lowest on my list because there are four tracks I don't care for and I hate that it's off a Bruce album. But I like something off every album, whether it's 2-3 songs or the whole thing. Anyway:

Ok ranking. I love the fact you like No prayer and Fear of the dark, but my ranking is; 17) Virtual XI 16) X factor 15) Book of Souls 14) Senjutsu 13) Dance of Death 12) Brave New World 11) Final Frontier 10) A Matter of Life and Death 9) Number of the Beast 8) Somewhere in Time 7) Powerslave 6) Fear of the Dark 5) Seventh Son of a Seventh Son 4) Piece of Mind 3) No Prayer for the Dying 2) Iron Maiden 1) Killers. I think every song on Killers and Iron Maiden is a masterpiece. I just prefer Paul’s voice over Bruce’s. Phantom of the Opera, Strange World and all of Killers are my favorite songs!

I've always loved No Prayer and Somewhere in Time is high on your list. I'm surprised Seventh Son came in so much lower. To me, that and Somewhere in Time are neck and neck 1 & 2 but I heard them first. Cool video. I'm late. Lol

1) Ranking S.S.O.A.S.S. and Killers that low is quite triggering.
2) Repeatedly referring to "Killers" as "The Killers" and "The Book Of Souls" as "Book Of The Souls" is also quite triggering.
3) Ranking Dance Of Death higher than their ultimate masterpiece Powerslave is triggering beyond belief.
4) Nice to see Fear Of The Dark getting some love, although I wouldn't rank it #1 myself. Judas Be My Juide is a criminally underrated banger.

Yeah sorry about that XD I blame all that on me listening to Maiden as a child as that was when i picked up nasty habbits on how i would name the albums as you picked up on despite me knowing them being wrong nowadays... just old habbits i guess lol :/
Also tho I tried to rank them objectively my ranking is partially nostalgia based so albums like SSOASS naturally wont be as high on my list as I listened to that when i was a bit older

Ranking "No Prayer For The Dying" ahead of "Piece Of Mind" & "SSOASS" is criminal, & ranking "Fear Of The Dark" ahead of "TNOTB" & "Somewhere In Time" is totally unfathomable!!! "Dance Of Death" ahead of "Powerslave" is quite laughable!!! I still give him props for being a big fan, though!

I am atmospheric black metal guy and I rarely listen to heavy metal, but I agree with your choices, especially the first three places. I can listen to the album Fear of the Dark from beginning to end, as well as Number of the Beast and Somewhere in Time.
Most fans put Powerslave and Seventh Son in the first places. I tried to like these albums, but I only like 2-3 songs from each album. Yeah, blasphemy black metal poser doesn't understand the beauty of heavy metal :)

The early stuff destroys the post Brave New World albums. They will never be matched in my opinion. Never!. They are amongst the best metal albums in history. Iconic even. Book of Souls and Senjutzu better than Piece of Mind and Seventh Son? And Even Killers? Seventh Son at 14? What? Why? I don’t get it. It’s a classic. Never seen anyone rank it that low.

I do really like Fear Of The Dark though. If you’re comfortable with this ranking that then that’s ok.

Yeah thats a solid list you got there the only two that I'd have put higher are Senjutsu and Dance of Death imo. Yeah i found it really hard ranking em coz I like all their albums (even Virtual XI to an extent) even only a week after recording this video my ranking has changed again and Killers is now number 7 lol

@@ZeaTea i was a teen in the 80s and all those 80s albums were groundbreaking, fresh and frequently released. also, back then, unlike now, metalheads were marginalized so it was a very tribal thing being into heavy metal. metal was a despised genre by non metal heads.

Always interesting to see how different fans rank these especially younger fans because you see how the newer material had a major impact on them whereas you have older fans that hate everything they put out in the last 20 yrs. That proves that the band is doing things right because if all the new stuff really sucked, they wouldn't be pulling in all these new fans.
