Greetings, My question is in regards to timing of the clear coat: For example if I spray candy2o on a substrate but, for whatever the reason, don't spray the clear coat after the 10-15 minute flash time of the candy then will I need to scuff it up some for the clear to stick? I ask because I know no scuffing is required to spray the quicksilver chrome over the gloss black, so I just wanted to clarify if that's the case across the entire line (specifically this clear coat over candy2o). Thank you in advance.
I have an airbrush painting that I would like to clear coat. Do I need to prep other than cleaning, such as lightly sanding to increase bite of the clear coat. Also should the clear coat have been applied within 24 hours of airbrushing the painting as I have read elsewhere ?
wait, there exists water based clear coat now?? Is it as strong or hard as 2k polyurethane clear coat? For automotive use it seems 1k or 2k is better than the current water based clears. Correct me if I'm wrong.
is the gloss clear okay for car bonnets? (hoods) with createx artwork on them? I was wondering if it will look duller than the adjoining panels if they are either factory or 2pack clear coated?
Would you recommend using this clear coat for ice hockey goalie masks? I use wicked, and currently have a body shop clear it with automotive clear. I need a strong durable clear..
Createx Clears are not meant as a replacement for a 2k clear - they're better for hobby, sign painting and anytime a durable, clear it required without an automotive finish. Createx Clears are not recommended to top-coating motor cycle tanks, helmets, bikes, etc.
CreatexColorsCo createx wicked and auto air are great for helmets tanks ect...I would never use createx for a clear coat. I use 2k urethane for clear. My helmets are top notch and take a puck with ease with no issues . Chk out my channel
Hi Johnnie, it depends on what you are painting on and how much protection you need but 4 coats will afford you great over all protection. You can sand and buff to a degree but not to the extend of a 2 pack clear coat.
Hi Bob. Yes you can spray them with a mini gun. I used a mini gun in this video when I sprayed the cat panel. Optimum set up would be 0.8-1.0mm and I still would not reduce at that.
To the point with examples. Thank you.
awesome! thanks Simon
Excellent. Thank you Simon, gives clarity I think :)

Thanks for sharing, I believe the gloss will work fine for my plastic scale modeling. Cheers

Peter for a bonnet mural to match existing clear then I would use a 2 pack clearcoat.

Our clear coats are extremely durable but I couldn't guarantee how it would hold up on a mask. I would always recommend testing first.

Hi Simon. Can these clear coats be sprayed with a mini gun? If so what would be the optimum tip size? Please.
