      it's been a year but for any future people, metal will also work, you can also use a wok if you really have nothing else

      It wouldn't, glass can handle heat very well and can withstand heating (that's why laboratory beakers are made of glass.) It would only break if the glass is hot and you placed it directly in a cool surface like water.

      No, i just did it. Just Melt it on the low heat. Turned out great.
