Same with my family, they don't get me at all and justify their cruelty by hiding behind their religion. The best we can do is be good people for ourselves. My mums death was awful too, traumatised me for years. Sending hugs. X
I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your mum and family troubles. I look at my own family now as challenges i had to overcome, to test my metal (so to speak). Hope you are feeling better each day. K
@@CamperVan-K yes same here, I've always been independent anyway, but they taught me that family or not boundaries and self respect are key to self well being. X

I am familiar with it. I bought the book several years ago.

I don't know if you are actively reading it or not but would love to chat with you about it sometime. Unfortunately, it's packed away in one of my boxes, so I haven't been able to access it for a few years, though I did download the Kindle version so I had it to hand. I liked Lesson 31 - You're not a victim... very insightful. Which is your go-to verse?

K please try this experiment next time you feel especially anxious sad or afraid, read lesson 182 the most important lesson in the book imo. i can 100pc guarantee you will be deeply at peace quickly. Did you know there are several course in miracles apps free for your phone or tablet? you can have access to the course 24/7 no need for the physical copy anymore lol. Also K the book chooses you and you dont choose it lol. I do know one thing, it means you are very special x
