After his father is murdered by a cold blooded killer, Xiao Lung joins an
acrobat troupe in order to further his skills in martial arts. One day while
performing he sees the killer, who is after other members of the troupe, like Xiao Lung's father they are-break away members of a large and powerful gang. Xiao Lung is no match for the killer, but after all the other members of the troupe are wiped out, it's up to Xiao Lung to get revenge on them all. Relying on his brains he manages to overpower the killer in one the screens finest end battles.

Description explains every level of the movie nicely. More info especially names is: "Wa Ta Fong" (Cass Wong) reports to the magistrate (Wong Wing Sang). (Lee Kwan) is that idiot chasing after "Shao Ling" (Hwa Ling). He reports to (Yuen Sam). "Shao Lung" (Peter Chen) saves his new friend Stumpy from fighter (Ma Chin Ku). "Shao Lung" leaves the troupe (description) and practices with fortune teller. "Wa Ta Fong" accuses (Chan Wai Lau) of really being "Lu Yin Hi" so he fights him for it. "Wa Ta Fong" seeks the gold plate. "Lu Yin Hi" (Chai Kai) fights the magistrate. "Jen Yen Yun" is (Chan Wai Lau). "Wa Ta Fong" fights "Lu Yin Hi" (Chai Kai). The "stage is set" (literally) ! "Shao Lung" & "Shao Ling" create a clever obstacle course of a format to take on the dangerous "Wa Ta Fong". NOTE: Movie has sporadic moments of comedy but not with the fighting.

Which one is the exact title? When I first watch this movie it was on VHS like 31yrs ago and the title was fearless young boxer. Now it's avenger boxer

One thing Ill say about Cassanova Wong. For A taekwondo Man His chinese hand skills Mantis, Hung Kuen and Wing Chun Were surprisingly deft as they were not his Main Art .He came a long way from being just the Kicker Monk in "Shaolin plot" I think that was Down to Working so Closely with Sammo Hung's Stunt team. (Arguably) his Hand styles were better than Wong Jang Lees, John Lius or Tan tao Liang who often reverted to Kicking in a lot of their on screen Fight scenes.
It's a sad shame that the silver eagle Han Ying (mantis han ying) is NEVER mentioned among the leg fighters. He was awesome. May he rip.

Whatever happened to Peter Chen? He had terrific Kung Fu/Acrobatic skills.He always reminded me of Li Yi Min or Muen Yuen Man.Another lost talent in much the same way as Billy Chong.They made a few films then faded from the Kung Fu movie scene.
