It's kind of nice to see older videos are finding their way onto CZcams because I wouldn't have gotten to see what Tarot was like before I found out about them if it weren't for these videos.
I was there, with a really, really good group of friends, just a few weeks before we were all going to enter the military service! Saw Deep Purple on their Purpendicular tour there as well, with Steve Morse performing some pure magic. I'd been a Morse fan for a few years already, so fuck that was a great experience. We went on to see Nummirock in '97 and '98 with the same entourage. We came from the South-Eastern Finland, the Kouvola region, so going right across the country to an obscure location near the West Coast was a bit of a road trip, but certainly nothing compared to the trip back after those three-to-four days of drinking and metalfesting. We saw Pantera, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, and dozens of other damn great bands during those combined days of fear and loathing, and that's how trips into a Finnish forest... are.
