- Have two Honda Valkyrie's here with Cobra 6 in 6 exhaust. The black 2003 Valkyrie has the baffles installed and the 1999 silver/black Valkyrie has no baffles. Kind of trying to show the difference. Video audio doesn't do it justice! With baffles installed it is really quiet. With out baffles, it sounds amazing! Real throtty, deep V8 sound!
I put several sets of these on when I worked at a Honda/Victory dealership, couldn't get enough of the sound it was like a two wheeled Ferrari.
sounds like a porsche flat 6
A few years ago I saw one Valkyrie without baffles here in my country and it won't be an overstatement if I say I fell in love with it. The sound is simply unforgettable, it's like nothing else!
I find myself re watching this video just the hear one of the best; Definitely top 10 exhaust notes on a motorcycle and/or Car. Sounds like a 70s muscle car.
Has to be one of the best sounding bikes of all time, just fantastic.👍🏻👍🏻
Best-sounding cruiser engine by a mile. Harley's got NOTHING on this.
Jeremy D I miss the sound of the 6-6 exhaust with no baffles! My new Tourer has the exhaust modified. But I think I'm going to put a set of cobras on it. Miss the sound bad!
Damn right! This motorcycle doesn't need to try, or pose, or prove anything to anyone. It's a force of fucking nature. Conceived by The Universe itself, built by mankind, it had to exist.
Fletcher DeMaine hahahaha V-Rod
Not even close, harleys cant touch this
@@joshuaparsons5720 your comparing a flat 6 to a v-twin of course there is no comparison. I do like my Harleys although I do like the sound of that unbaffled honda
Man that motor comes alive with this 6 in 6 exhaust ... WOW!!! I must have it now ..
The best bike I've ever owned, seen, ridden, experienced or even heard of IS, the Honda Valkyrie GL1500.
Thank you for the comparison I just pulled my baffles out! Can't wait to get the bike back together and fire it up!
Idles like a Vtwin, revs like a cammed muscle car
Love it. Baffles are for babies!
Boy, I would trade my Harley for that beast any day! Love that unbaffled exhaust note
Sounds absolutely amazing full throttle! I just had my newest Valkyrie powder coated all black with these cobra 6 in to 6 pipes. Did Nardo Grey tins.
Get to it.
valkyrie is bigger than some towns i drive through. i like to keep mine quiet most of the time. its plenty loud when i want it.
Would be great if Cobra offered two types of baffle; one pretty quiet and one moderate. I wonder of the baffles can be modified to be a bit quieter.
I’m a Harley guy and this Honda I’d ride !
I was wondering what the difference is, as there are some other videos with both versions, but never together. I have the baffles in mine and it's pretty damn loud when it's up in the revs, but the neighbors don't want to throw rocks at me from just starting it up, let alone riding it down the street. But damn, without the baffles, you're into straight-pipe Harley levels of noise. It's nice to have options on the pipes, but I'm good with the baffles in.
Thanks for posting this!
Pablo Duganheim So loud with out baffles and I just love it! Did you watch the video on my channel of me racing the VROD? You can really hear them rip in that video!! It’s a ways back in my videos.
Cool, I'll go look for it a bit later. Oh, I'm seriously tempted to pop those 6 screws off, but I really do like having the best of both worlds with pipes that are loud-ish, but can get much louder. The stock pipes were waaay too quite though. I usually just rev my bike instead of using my horn and those Cobras sound seriously pissed off even with the baffles in them. Killer pipes, either way!
As much as I'm into bikes and bike videos, I also have the nerd side as a gamer and I'm just about to get a huge game (RDR2), hence the delay. But this is the kind of good shit that gets me amped up and that's why I'm watching your videos right now! You seem like a good dude with cool vids, so I'll sub and it'll be easy to find your channel a bit later. I do want to watch that video! Thanks man, and keep up the good work!
@@streetstunna600 Can you link the video? I'm not sure which one it is on you video list. Cool channel though. I have an 80 CJ7 crawler and your Zuk kind of looks like a smaller version of it. My CJ is mostly cage, primer paint, and a shit load of dents. Either way, I'll probably find it after checking out some other videos.
with baffles in, how uncomfortable is it to ride for long distances at highway speed?
@@TheEvrythingsjake Not bad at all. You don't have what noise there is directly hitting you, either.
I've actually been next to it when my buddy & I switched bikes & it was pretty loud when he jumped on the throttle though. But sitting on the bike is fine & I've ridden it from Fl to Az before.
I did get bored a few months ago & popped out 1 baffle & I immediately put it back in! I have people staying in my guest house & they often don't notice me creeping out at idle when leaving. There are insulated windows in the house, but it's just a low rumble at low RPM. Hope that helps & I'd be happy to answer any more questions if you have them! Cheers!
Just bought an ivory and yellow 99 Valkyrie, would love ,love, love to do this!
damn, I might like these 6 cylinders more than v-twins lol. sounds great.
Honda really does make amazing sounding motorcycle engines. Im young but i have a 1978 CB750F Super Sport Cafe Racer that sounds like a monster. Right up there with the sound that the CBX makes as far as sound quality. 3 best sounding bikes in my opinion are #1: CBX1000/1050 #2: any CB750 SOHC #3: 70’s Ducati 900SS
What about Honda rc 174 gp racer....6 cylinder spine chilling sound
Sounds better with baffles
Very nice . Sounds like A muscle car
Sounds like an old Porsche
I smiled the whole video like a damned child
Video is only a minute , I’ve been here for the past hour 😅
Amazing sound on both of them. Is it just me or the no baffles one sound lopey-er at idle?
The best bike sound ever unforgettable 👌
THOSE ARE REAL BIKES! Thanks. John P.
Sounds like a muscle car. That's awesome
The down side of messing around with open exhausts is more power low down revs, less high up & appalling fuel consumption, sounds good, while everyone's overtaking you, specially when you're in another petrol station.x
I'm baffled
Sounds like a pulp wood truck at idle but an old F1 car when it revs.
I've had three and only one had six pipes, that's the reason why my third Valykrie has stock pipes. I'm too old for that noise, sorry.
Holy crap! Don’t mean to sound nasty, but at 1:26 I literally came 🤣. That’s a fantastic sound!
These sounds absolutely amazing! I just took mine apart and did Nardo Grey tins and powder coated everything chrome, black. The cobra 6 in 6 pipes are black with bo baffles now too!
@@streetstunna600 that’s so awesome!! I have cobra pipes, and I really wanted to do 6 in 6 but it was little out of my price range at the time. I’m going to save up to put some on my Vstar 1300 hopefully soon. Do you install them yourself or did you take it to a shop? If so, if you don’t mind me asking, what was the total price?
Ummmm. Hope you don't mind me saying this but......... Its not a V8. It doesn't have a "deep V8" sound. Its a Flat 6 and it has a sound that's insane and quite unique to itself.
It sounds like a drag car in person when getting on it.
beast
The winner is: Valkyrie on the Right.. Baffled one sounds good too...
What type of baffles did you use? both sound great!
No other bike can compare to this sound.
🔥
wow great thank you so much buddy
Press "8" for joy.
where to get those awesome key rings?
Did you have to have it rejetted
Sou apaixonado por essas motos sonho em telo.uma um dia
Honestly it sounds nicer with them in.
What's up with that whine though my virago did that and it drove me nuts.
I love the bags
I recently purchased a 98 valkyrie and am wondering where you got those Keychains from?
The baffle-less sound is amazing! Does removing the baffles lessen the power? Can the baffles be re-installed? Thanks in advance.....
If it does, it's not noticeable. I personally feel like I have more power.
With the baffles
When you drilled out the baffles, did you have to rejet all 6 carbs? And do you get backfire? I have this issue on my VLX bobber and I am getting a 97 Valkyrie and want to know what is in store for me if I switch from stock to 6 in 6 and the drill out the baffles. Thank you.
There is a screw in the bottom.of each pipe. You unscrew that and just pull out the baffles. You may get a little back fire but nothing serious. You can rejet the carbs if you want as well. Pretty easy to do on the bike.
ok need one!
Fun comfortable bikes!
next time keep it away from the wall so the real sound can be heard,it will sound a lot nicer
What do you use to remove the baffles? Is it difficult?
Sorry for the late response. No, it's one screw in the bottom of the pipe holding the baffle in on each pipe. Then a pair of good needle nose pliers to wiggle and pull them out. Sometimes they are kind of stuck. Maybe you could use some liquid wrench.
That’s fucking sick.
Good bye Harley Davidson
Oh god I want one are these both 1500 engines, am a newbie to bikes so please forgive
Probably overheat the red hot valves too.x
What make are the bags?
I want that keychain for my valk.
I found it on ETSY.com I just looked to see if they still have them and it looks like they make a vintage one kinda like it now.
@@streetstunna600 Wow, I found it there instantly, even one with the right vintage paint job. Thanks!
pleace how do you remove the exhaust or buffers from the pipe I have the same one 6 into 6 cobra
wander Arias You take out the little screws in the rear of the exhaust. Then reach in there and pull out the baffles with a pair of good pliers. They may be difficult. But they should come out.
streetstunna600 hey buddy thank you so much
wander Arias If I still had that exhaust on my new Valkyrie I would make a video of me pulling them out buddy.
Waooo that will be great thanks you
wander Arias there's a screw in the pipe, pull the screw and pull the baffles out.
Link to pipes?
Sounds awesome. Did you have to rejet?
Philip Janes I don’t feel like we had to. But we did. Seemed real rich.
What kind of front floorboards are those on the grey and black one?
Both have Cobra floorboards
I like the sound best with the baffles in place. I want to buy this exhaust but worry it being too loud even with the db killers in place. Can you tell me more about it ?
aapddd In person it sounds much better with out the baffles in. But is very very loud. With baffles in, in person it sounds pretty quiet. But still pretty loud. May be best to see if you have a local Valkyrie club that you can meet with. Maybe one of the members have these?
streetstunna600 thanks for your reply. Yes I will ask some guys or girls out here because a lot do have the Cobra pipes. I'll have a listen.
derbi jättää
do i ned to rejjet my valkyrie if i revove my baffles ??????
Are you running the stock air filter? Or if you are running a K&N, are you running the pre filter? If the answer is yes to either of those questions. You shouldn't have to rejet to take the baffles out. I'm running 38 slow jets and 42 main jets right now. I'm running a K&N air filter with no pre filter.
The second one literally sounds like an angry male lion
Ineffable
Could you cut those pipes down in length w/o affecting engine performance?
I really don't know the answer bud. I would think you could.
No, changing the length of the pipes will definitely change the sound they make. I tried this a few times and it wasn’t good.
We all going to ignore the fact that this is a goddamn goldwing engine?
Wait are you serious?
with baffles or without?
Both. One has baffles the other is with it baffles. With out sounds what better in my opinion though.
Siiiiiiiiiiiick!!!
Completely redoing my newest valkyrie. had the cobra 6 in 6 high temp powder coated. Had all the chrome on the bike powder coated. Had the motor done up in all black as well. Grey on black theme.
Why have baffles on a bike like this it's just beyond me
Joli bruit
Baffles for sure, without it just sounds awful and annoying not to mention the performance loss.
Sounds like my 911.
You have to re-jet to do that?
Tim Leach is that a statement or a question? You are supposed to re-jet when running cobra exhaust. That’s not all that hard though. We’ve rebuilt and rejetted 6 sets of carbs off Valks.
streetstunna600 does the rejet bring back the HP loss or more for smooth running?
Just ordered a set for 2001, keep reading folks saying you lose HP when you put them on. Not that I’d probably miss it, but meh.
why do people insist on putting the mic right up to the exhaust and cracking on it? All you do is clip out the audio.
where did you get the side blinker lights on the hardbags?
kyle stewart those lights came with the. Age when purchased off eBay. We found some similar but with orange lenses on like custom dynamics or one of those light sites.
kyle stewart Actually just found them jpcycles.com part number 3300500 they weren't on there with the red lenses last year. Must have just started manufacturing then again!
Awesome thanks man. Love my valk. Love live the 20th century! Lol
Long
You got to ride them down the road for a proper sounding. This don't work.
Worked just fine, world of difference between the two.
too close to wall,to hear the real sound,it bounces off the wall
BS. You can hear it just fine.
@@streetstunna600 bullshit is your video, and your attitude
@@ahoorakia Wrong! I just listened to it. Sounds amazing...
@@streetstunna600 I never said it sound bad,
@@ahoorakia oh shoot! I took you as am asshole! My bad. Stay tuned! The new valk is getting a new life.
Gotta love the, I have a small penis motorcycles.
I'd take the one on the right any day of the week month and year
😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳👀👁👁👌💪👍
I really like the sound but...it just sounds too much like a car to me.
Sounds like a drag car with out baffles and racing!
@@streetstunna600 Yes. And while that does sound really good i do prefer motorcycles that sound like you would expect a motorcycle to sound.
@@The77Game well then don't get one......
@@The77Game duh......
@@ltrumpy First of all, i wont. And it is possible to watch videos like this without being on the lookout for either this bike or the exhaust. I don't get why you react like my opinion is somehow invalid.
Too bad they're so damn pricey...
For what you are getting they're damn cheap IMO ..
Both too noisy. Give a thought to the old couple tending their petunias as you super-roar past. I know that's the USA but surely you care about folk other than war veterans across the pond? My standard Valkyrie exhausts sound fabulous, and my neighbours are also happy. Let's spread more consideration out there. Yes? Maybe tattoo 'Altruism' across your fingers and maybe even look up what it means? (You'll get to 'u' before you run out of fingers, but you have two hands).
