I've been watching 3 of your videos (Howard, lovecraft) absolutely dig it. Nearing my masters degree of English education and decided to spice it up with my personal taste (rpg, writing and this genre). Thank you for sharing this. You gotta be an amazing gm.
An excellent lecture Michael. I don't think it can be overstated just how much of an influence Poul Andersen's 'The Broken Sword' was on the development of Elric. I'm a fan of Moorcock, but in my opinion the Elric stories border on plagiarism of 'The Broken Sword'.
Very good and important... Thanks for this!!
Wow. Elric stories. That takes me back 👍😊
Why doesn't my school teach a weird fiction class? I might actually ace that with flying colors for once!
Great job! Moorcock was my gateway into the weird as an adolescent. Very well presented.

Moorcok himself says The Broken Sword was one of the main influences in the early stories of Elric.
