My ACL Surgery went unexpectedly

- I tore my ACL completely from an injury playing soccer. So I had to go for an ACL reconstruction surgery in order to walk and be able to play again.

Very difficult nowadays to see sil or dil that wanted their in laws to stay in together with them,"No Privacy" kononnya,but here Logesh showed what A True Typical most Malaysian Son will do to their parents , since his parents is far from him so his in laws is his parents now and forever.

Get well soon Logesh. Rachel, what you are going through here reminds me when my husband broke his leg due to accident back in 2015. Up and down to hospital with cast on his leg for 9 months until it was removed. Stay strong both of you.

Wishing you a very speedy recovery. I had a complete tear of my ACL two months ago and I’m in my second round of physical therapy. Ice is going to be your best friend (beside Rachel). See if there is a way to find an ice machine. I heard that that was a quicker way to get through the pain. Ice, patience and lots of tender loving care. Good luck.

My son also tore his ACL n had surgery twice in the last 10 years ago, sad news but no more soccer.......recovery is fast though but no more vigorous soccer playing.......swimming is the best exercise n helps to strengthen your leg....good luck

Hey Logesh. Stay strong man and get good rest. I learned during my clavicle fracture surgery that the more you face your pain the faster it will heal. Not easy but learn to make friends with your pain. It makes the process easier. Trust me on this dude.

Get well soon Logesh. I’ve been on that road before and nothing comes easy. I had my surgery at SJMC and admitted for 3 days. The next day after my surgery they hospital staffs made me go to the physiotherapy room. It was painful but it’s important for the recovery. Pls do a lot of it when u r at home since u can’t do anything at the moment.
I too had the same, Kumaar! ACL surgery and can relate completely with you. My name too has Kumaar, but these are the only 2 similarities. No American wife. Jokes apart, Get well soon. Do remember to do Physio after surgery.
Rachel your father was great helping on lagos that situasion.Lagos don't worried will get well soon and able to the normal away just be positive.Rachel why not cook in the house.Rachel so loving and caring with lagos both of them.May God bless lagos and family with good health.

I had my ACL, Miniscus and Medial the trifecta of tears in 2002. I used my own tendon from my thigh for the surgery...It’s been 20 years, and the knee is still strong..I do have significant varicose veins on the leg they took out the muscle . I think it was the best choice.

Wishing you a speedy recovery and get well soon ... not going to sugar coat it ... it's going to be tough readjusting while you recover ... but you'll get used to it and adapt ... most importantly do your rehab and take care
I broke my collar bone playing badminton ... I was trying to see how solid the concrete wall was .... icollarbone broke and separated ... had to wait 10 days before my surgery... now I have a plate and 6 screws in me ... the hard part was learning to do everything 1 handed ... including going to the toilet

@@KumaarFamily yes .. all good now ... it happened last year on Jan 6 ... surgery was on Jan 16 ... I was given the option of removing the plates and the screws at the start of this year ... I opted not to remove it ... as I didn't want another surgery and recovery time again ... I'm just glad that Malaysia airport has xray machine when I go back for a visit ... lol
Do take care ... other than the physical recovery ... you'll also have the mental recovery aspect to work on that you should be aware of ... you'll tend to be over protective of your injured knee ... especially when you get back to playing soccer ... just don't beat yourself over it when you play again ... all the very best on your recovery and rehab mate 👍

I have been trying to get similar braces from my dad who went to surgery in 21 March as he broke his patella. I am not certain how many times you might need to change your dressing there but my dad was doing dressing changes every 2 days; that being said, doctor's advice is the best!
You are truly amazing seeing you able to be on your feet slowly to the toilet!
And the way how you get into the car is the same as what I had to do for my dad as well.
If my almost 80 year old dad can survive more than a month on cast (he wasn't given braces), I know you can do it too; especially He
