I have my reservations about Eugenie, who seems to have inherited the “Spare” curse of discontent with her lot in life. But Beatrice keeps herself out of the fray and has always been respectful to the Crown. The late Queen recognized this and gave Beatrice special favor at her wedding. I’m sure if you were in Bea’s place you’d want to be judged on your own merits and not the mistakes of your parents, wouldn’t you? I don’t think there’s any call to be ugly towards Beatrice. She is not responsible for what her father has done.

Curtseying and bowing is a personal choice. We all know she adores her uncle, maybe there's a medical reason she didn't. He had health problems when she was a bairn, maybe she was concentrating and didn't realise the King was passing her or just perhaps, it was agreed that she wouldn't just so we could all point out to people who think 'bowing and scraping' (as some Americans have called it) to someone isn't compulsory.

If you notice everyone who did bow has a title, such as the Princesses, but Louise was born a Lady, her father didn’t get them any titles because they were so far back in line of succession (even more so now) so, she isn’t required to. She has the choice to ask for one, she could’ve gotten one from her grandmother the moment she turned 18, but she seems content as Lady Louise. Because of that, she is like us- has the option to curtsy but it’s not required of her.

It is so beautiful to learn the price Americans paid to hold up the 🇺🇸 flag against the British incessant cannonballs attacks throughout the night. The bodies of those heroes who died defending the fort were used to prop up our flag because if that flag pole went down it meant the surrender of the USA to Britain. Next time you hear the 🇺🇸 Anthem please pay attention, learn and show reverence for the sacrifices of many people in the past, so we can have a better future as a nation.
