Yep, I'm all about the mod creator taking however much time he needs. Create a wrestler mode is hard with No Mercy mods because the mods themselves are created by replacing the textures in the game with new ones and they are more specific for the wrestlers the mod creator creates for the mod. But I'm not that technically sound to know that for sure.
@@SCWPhillySports It isn't a problem to me. Mods are typically created for free by people within the gaming community that choose to share their creations with the rest of us. In that sense, I don't ever think of the mod creators as being obligated to produce anything for anybody. So when they do, even if it is not complete or not updated any further, I still appreciate and give props for them being willing to take the time on their own to create these free mods. What I like most about this mod is that even in its current state, you can see the potential of what future mods of No Mercy could be. Having a double digit amount of attires and being able to create wrestlers who can sell differently depending on the opponent, and having certain moves become available only as the match progresses are some cool and unique mods I have not seen myself in No Mercy before.

WWF Legends has been in development for literally over 20 years and still is worked on. This stuff takes a lot of time. We don't have modding tools except for the ones we make ourselves, and we refuse to rush the process of a project that we work on out of fun. We are still working on this, but we have jobs, families and other obligations. This was never a top priority for us, it started as an in-house project that we decided to share. You are more than welcome at any time to add your own roster additions and hacks. We consider this to be open source. No one is stopping you.

Because my family didn't have cable, I watched the NWA at a friend's house on TBS. World Class and AWA in the later part of the 80s were shown on ESPN. My friend would tape the shows and then we would watch them when I visited him.

The mod is still a work in progress. It is not yet fully realized or complete. For what we have access to now, it is a great start that I would still play even if there were no more updates.
Try going to "Settings" then "Directory" and make sure that the under "Texture Directory" that it is pointing to the right "Textures" folder. I hope that works.
I respect where you're coming from. It's tough because what is viewed as memorable is different from one person to the next but I get it. This is indeed playable online, but through an application like Parsec. I personally don't have experience with Parsec, but I've heard of people who have used the app to be able to play a lot of things online with other people that otherwise wouldn't have been possible.
If I'm not mistaken, the WWF Legends mod, Showdown 64 Mod, and WCW Feel the Bang mod all include everything you need to play it. I'm trying to remember, but I also think the AKI Evolution mod is like that as well.
Are the new textures showing? Meaning, does the main menu look different than the default one? Also, what plug-ins are you using? For instance, go to Options, followed by Settings, and then click on Plug-ins. Are you using Jabo's Direct3D8 1.7.0.57 ver5? That is what I use. I know that is a lot of questions but it will help me to troubleshoot the freeze.
A lot of these cats put broken links out so you get partial downloads and there’s always a problem while they just click n there they get it going in a snap you do exactly like them n 3 hrs later still nothing really bad community too I believe I just had one person try to help n answer questions while others play blind especially if you comment to a specific creator about a file missing they never answer I been trying to get the save files for wcw Starrcade 64 for awhile even posted on the upload era page for help and nothing.

Unfortunately, no. The mods change textures which means the real hardware would not recognize them. That's why they have to be played through an emulator.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion of whether they like something or not but I don't think it is fair to question a mod creator's intent when he/she spends countless hours creating something that ultimately is released to the public for FREE to enjoy. That stance, which is a lack of appreciation of their work and effort, pushes these talented creators away. We should remember that they don't have to do any of this at all.

That mod is dead in the water. It's been a "Work In Progress" and "What If" Mod for like 3 years now. Too ambitious for the creators obviously.
