Great video and advice here. I make 90s and early 2000s style dance music. Even then, my sound isn't exactly like that music was. I have a different feel for he sound I want. I had joined Sage Audio's community hoping to get some feedback and I have. Problem is, it was only really useful on one song. Some of the stuff some members are telling me would destroy my song. I tend to keep my cymbals and and hi hats low. They like to tell me to crank them by two to three db. You gotta find your own sound. If I gave a mixing tutorial, it wouldn't work for most people because of my style and the sound I go for.
If you just started listen to this man!! Im 5 years watching this videos!! Feel like I went to school for this!!! Also...Everytime you rock that Jersey!!! I make like 20 beats!!! CT Baby!!!
It's ironic because I was just thinking about this yesterday. I don’t trust any of these content creators when it comes to mixing unless they have a finished product you can check out or reference. The music in their videos doesn’t count; it has to be in MP3 format. I listen to content creators on my studio monitors (especially the Pro Tools ones) and they’ll say, “You hear the difference when I do this or that…” and I can’t hear anything. There’s no noticeable difference. They might already have something like this out there, but in the future, content creators who talk about mixing-whether it’s just a beat or a track with vocals-should provide a downloadable session, whether it’s for FL Studio, Pro Tools, etc. As they mix and explain what they're doing, the students would have the same exact files and be able to follow along. This way, when it’s all said and done, you can see and hear how the finished result is supposed to sound from your own space. Does that make sense? Can't knock the hustle, but it’s evident who’s actually teaching good information and who’s just trying to sell something.
ive had a good friend tell me how to mix my beats even though he makes DNB or edm and ive mostly been making trap for the past 8 years and he hasnt been producing as long ....its all personal preference for what youre trying to achieve.
i been making beats for 10 years and i will tell you now there is NO plugin that will save your mix its all about having an ear for it and getting better over time with repitition oh and also a pair of good mixing headphones that helps for real
I stopped using speaker monitors in 2012, right now I use my monitors to look at movies 🤣🤣🤣 I remember they said you couldn't mix in headphones, remember that war? Yeah I mix and make the track in my headphones. s..............

I've always seen you teaching new things on how to do different spices in your mixes, mixing has never been a rule, its science + art
Thank you for this fr. This just eased my mind
When you make a discovery in audio on your own, it feels different than someone teaching you, that's why I like these videos
I have no idea how to mix/master so I've just been doing my own thing not following any rules and if it sounds good to me it's good enough
Busy you never disappoint!!!! Thank you for being true.

Come back to Logic Pro bro 😭😭😭
You blew my ears out too, because your voice volume was a lot lower than the FL volume. You should watch out for that when you make videos.
