The ClonerAlliance UHD Pro records in H.265 format. This halves the file size for the same quality compared to H.264. Something the cheaper ClonerAlliance Box Pro doesn't do.
My hobby is recording space flight at the moment I can only do 1080 but would like to record in 4K space X steam in 4K and there are 4k videos from NASA so I am thinking of buying this only found out about it last week.
I can see someone getting the ClonerAlliance as a low-cost entry into the world of streaming and Twitch, for instance. After gaining some experience they may discover its limitations and upgrade to a Blackmagicdesign model. Or not. As you say, possibly the price-point of the UHD could do with some tweaking.
Is there some irony that the UI for the device was recorded with a camera instead of, say, some kind of capture system?

The UHD Pro does not come with the input or cable to record RCA, Composite ect. So you can't record from VCR & other sources right out of the box. The 4K 30Hz (Which makes no sense & should be 4K 30fps) isn't as good as 1080p 60Hz (Again 60fps) imo.
Using a hdmi from a apple 4k box then out to your atmos receiver. Will it record streaming atmos from Apple music to a thumb drive?

Cool. I just came from a ClearClick video. I am thinking about getting this Cloner Alliance Box pro or the ClearClick. I have been using the AGPTek game card capture since 2020 when I started doing DBZ Kakarot videos and other gameplay. That device was terrible and it is finally starting to not recording anything at all. I need something new for Need For Speed Unbound next week. Also, I am a long time Unreal Tournament player. Unreal Tournament 2004 is probably my favorite game of all-time. It is the most skilled and most fast paced first person arena shooter I have ever played. I have some videos of me out there playing. DunamisOphis. My other channel is DemonSlayerDunamisGameplay and I have videos of me playing Unreal on there as well.

Yes, but you’d need some software to convert the video into the correct format and create the menus etc.

Did you test if it bypasses HDCP? I.e. if you have something like a firestick, could it record that at 4K 30P?

@@Stewbular Yeah, I ended up going another route that I knew works, but it involves installing a capture card inside the pc in a pci express port, so probably not for everyone..
Does anyone know what kind of device would bypass HDCP?
@@matthewbushey5103you need an HDMI splitter. I think viewhd makes one that is 1080p and 4K
My ClonerAlliance UHD Pro is slightly zoomed in. When I press the display button on the remote the (F) in Format is cut off the left edge of the screen and I don't know how to fix this issue. I returned it to Amazon and they sent me another one, but the 2nd one they sent me is doing the same thing... anybody else have this problem or know how to fix it?
Have you checked the overscan settings on your TV / Monitor?

your TV or monitor should have a setting for picture size. Use normal, wide, or auto. That fixed my UHD Pro image.
Had two and neither worked!
