I got lucky and shot this video at the Southern Exposure Heritage Festival to honor Stetson Kennedy on March 14, 2010. His wife Jackie, told me I could post it on CZcams. This is the last 10 minutes of the show. More to come soon.

How happy I am to have found this video! For many years, we caught Arlo's shows at the Coach House and the Barclay Theatre in California. We miss him here. I always say I feel like I got "religion" when I attended Arlo's shows. He has a way of saying and singing just the right words to unite us and leave us in a better place than we were in when we walked in the door. Thank you to Arlo and his family.
So glad you are still performing and love your family there with you making it all even so much more wonderful !!!! And ya know that Rascals song... "it's a beautuful morning" ? Even on the crappiest day or night I sing that out loud and everyone thinks I'm nuts until I add "Somewhere!!!" It's true... somewhere anytime of day or night it's a beautuful morning.. yeah !!!

I have never had any desire to visit USA. but if it included Arlo and a few othes, then maybe I should reconsider.
I live in East Tennessee. I really do not know what to suggest, but, if you do visit the area, you can hear some spectacular talent. I am on Facebook, Dave Mundt, so, if you do decide to take the bull by the horns, message me...I will do what I can to make it an interesting and pleasant visit.
America is not in a good place right now, though, I am sorry to say, and so it is tough to recommend folks visit.

I heard a black man sing about Katrina, and i cant find his song. That was a delta blues song, thats where? I aint heard anything as good since. All the best gets lost? Im hoping i can back track tge videos google chose me, they all feel mega important.

i get angst everytime i hear this song...love woody and arlo and family...just get angry whenever i hear a non indigenous person sing 'this land is your land , this land is my land' and i hear the tens of thousands of my ancestors who were murdered, who had land stolen, who were butchered and starved....no ! this land you all claim has a river of blood as it's price....this song glorifies not only colonization but all the death and pain and theft that went with it ..
