- I'm just full of all the Boy Meets World feels lately. Last night's Girl Meets World made me cry. I 110% want Shawn to find happiness with Katy and Maya. Yes, I adored Shawn and Angela. But it's about time he moves on.
And Shawn being Maya's Mr. Turner just makes me incredibly happy.
I'm in my twenties. I shouldn't be this invested in a Disney Channel show.

It is because of this video I decided to go back and binge on Boy Meets World - I needed a new show to binge on anyway. Five and a half seasons in, I am so glad I did. BMW could possibly be my favorite show all-time.
I've seen a couple full Girl Meets World episodes, not all, mostly clips on here. Seeing the old BMW cameos made me think of how cool it was to have the BMW characters back together and generally nothing more, but after having re-watched a significant chunk of BMW I appreciate it more now because I am more familiar and in tune with all the different back stories. I seriously think to truly understand GMW you need to have watched BMW.
Damn, this actually makes me wanna go back and watch all of Boy Meets World then watch Girl Meets World.

It's kind of annoying seeing the show compare Shawn's backstory with Maya's. One had a parent walk out. The other had a parent walk out *twice* + *alcoholic* father + *regularly* disappearing father + guardian gets into *coma* + father *dies*. So NO, I don't see how these two supposedly have *similar* backgrounds. If anything, Maya has more in common with the kids from "Are We There Yet".

That would've been fine, but the characters kept on asking Shawn why he can't let his guard down even though Maya can. My problem with that is that Shawn has much more reason to have his guard up versus Maya who again just had a parent walk out who wasn't ready.

and all they had to do to make Shawn and Katy work is spit on three seasons of character building, suffering, triumph, and growth between Shawn and Angela, before, instead of reuniting them and rekindling the flame on GMW, they stick Angela in for a one episode cameo long enough to tell Shawn (and us) that she had dumped him, she moved on, and he needs to do the same; permanently sinking their relationship, (and our hearts) faster then the Titanic. Now the only happy endings we have of them are fanfiction. :(
