Martha you are the best I love everything you cook and my family to. When I cook or bake your recipes they love it.
I have made this pie several times now. It is THE BEST pie I’ve ever made, and everyone who tastes it is smitten. It is the perfect warm-weather pie.
Note: it is not difficult, but is time-consuming. I would suggest making the lemon curd a day (or two!) early, just to break up the amount of work is takes.

This is truly a magical Lemon Meringue Pie. She spoons the meringue into the clear pie plate, then after being baked, a pie crust appears as she is serving it. Its a miracle!

What a great way to do lemon meringue pie! It is my favorite, too, though I don’t like when the bottom crust gets soggy. This would avoid that happening. And it could be done with any fruit curd.

I buttered the pie plate but the meringue stuck to it like glue. I had to scrape the crust out. Turned into an Eton mess! I am not sure what happened but it did taste great.

I made the first Upside Down Lemon Meringue Pie - EXACTLY as here described, but it comes out of the oven "half-baked" and broke into pieces... like fluid...but everything was like done as described.
Martha, I sure hope you can help me. What causes the thousands of droplets all over the top of the meringue when it’s browned?
Look online for how to avoid meringue "weep" or "weeping". There are a few reasons -- one is that the sugar hasn't completely dissolved. Another is the cooking time. And there are others....
