Black Roses is a weirdly anthemic song about death and the inevitability of the end for all things. For this track I had the help of nearly 70 fans singing on the chorus with me! A huge thanks goes out to them for lending an important sound to this song.

Lyrics:
Children joyful dancing in the sun
With a blissful ignorance of what's to come
When the guardsmen start to struggle
And the barriers give way
We're broken and we wither in the fray
We are husks
Alive but barely breathing
Sometimes we pull ourselves together
But our efforts fade away
We are dust
Crumbling by the moment
We try to push away the ending
And black roses fall the same
Running off afraid of what's to come
When you're facing down the barrel of the lawman's gun
But the saints have learned the secret
And the rebels know the same
We're killing just to bury our remains
Preludes of every stanza
End on repeating notes
A tale of woe and sadness
Chorus of silent throats
We try and keep a memory
Transcribing every line
But when they turn to ashes
We perish slaves to time
Burned out on borrowed moments
Used up like cigarettes
We feel our time expiring
But it's not over yet
Each finds a meager purpose
Though our cold grave awaits
We face the morbid beauty
Of our collective fate
We are flawed
Chained to the laws of nature
I guess we'll have to teach each other
To leave legends to our names
We are husks
Alive but barely breathing
Sometimes we pull ourselves together
But our efforts fade away
We are dust
Crumbling by the moment
We try to push away the ending
And black roses fall the same - Hudba

Aviators: "I integrate bits and pieces of Beethoven's work in my own songs. You wouldn't get it."
I will not complain. It works beautifully.
Avi: "I am going to become the Beethoven."
I read that and the listend to the song and immediately heard one of beethoven's melodies

Aviators is without a doubt the perfect musician for a dark fantasy series.
I could imagine an Anime in that genre with this sick music oWo
Indeed
I would disagree, they are good. Though Dark Fantasy is usually more dramatic and less melodic.
What I know is they are not enought know.
@@techpriest6962 Its artistic choice.
As long as it conveys the right message and mood it would fit.
In mine opinion melodic fits better dark fantasy.
Describing death like a castle being attacked by saying “when the guards men start to struggle and the Barriers give way” is genius
Aviators releasing more songs recently makes me beyond happy.
this song was actually already released, if you go and look at the dreams of the deep album he put together, there are a bunch of songs that don't show up in the upload feed. and this is one of them, i have been listening to it so much
How is it that every single song from a single artist can give me inspiration for writing? Aviators never fail to get my creative juices flowing.

This Song hits a little bit harder in the wake of Miura's death.
"Humans are weak... But we want to live, even if we're wounded... or tortured... we feel the pain."
-Guts, of Kentaro Miura's Berserk
Thank you Aviators, for capturing this feeling in this song, even if it was unintentional.
Whos miura

I concur. The visage of a black knight with a brutal blade wandering desolation fits this durge perfectly. Kentauro Miura lives in power.
hey guys, have you ever heard the tragedy of 'Griffith did Nothing Wrong'? It's not a story the weeaboos would tell you...
I loved Beethoven's "Für Elise" reference that you put in that song, including the post-rock influence.
Glad I'm not the only one that thought that
Huh, so I wasn't reading into it.
@@stturnip4830 It's not the first time Avi does this, there are already other examples of him using Beethoven pieces in his work.
“Ignorance is Bliss” does it too :)

I was actually reading your message when it started to play that part
"You say your old man never left you out his sight... So, have you ever heard about the vault 115 guard? No..., well let me tell you a history kid... From what i've heard, all the adults and the kids where separated the moment the got into the vault, one part of it was filled with the children and a few caretakers, while the other one held the parents. The thing was that the 2 parts where divided by one way mirrors, all the parents could see their children cry for them but couldn't be seen or heard by the kids to comfort their kids... you already know the drill, just another mad experiment from the vault-tec bastards.
They say some time after the bombs, the door malfunctioned and made everyone inside into ghouls, but some say that not everyone was transformed, that in the end the separation was a blessing and for some reason the same doors and mirrors that separated them protected the children from the radiation.
I think its true, because if you go there nowadays, you wont be able to get close enough to even see the door without being hunted by a bunch of ghouls, some of them armed, some feral, all screaming that they wont allow you to hurt their children..."
Edit: typo
can use this cause damn thats dark
@@kittyking4841 it sounds like it's from a fallout game but I'm not sure
@@ASmartNameForMe Its inspired in fallout, the "vault-tec bastards" gives it away. in the game universe, if you get slow radiation exposure you become a ghoul, a dried moving corpse thats is functionally immortal as long as you stay near a source of radiation, but with a far fragile mind than a normal person. If they dont do something to keep themselves sane(that goes from reading or hobbies to just interacting with normal people) they end up as feral animals, but still even the feral ones are sometimes obssesed with something, usually their cities or lifes before their brains gave out

We know the way home.
Leaving this world is not as scary as it seems
It contrasts beautifully against the songs lurking in the deep behind it.
One of the best of the album.
This and "Cities in the Distance" are the perfect songs to ride out the looming end of human civilization to.
Also Welcome to Paradise, perfect apocalypse music!
My ex used to go by Black Rose before we met. At the time, I thought it was cute and of course she was as embarrassed about it as could be. To be honest, the name of this song and the thumbnail reminded me of her. That's the only reason I clicked on this song in the first place.
She changed after time. Everyone does, but she grew more cold. My life for a while after was quite a mess. The chorus of this song sorta hits home to me the more I listen to it. I know this song likely has nothing to do with some long-lost love turned dark, but when I hear these lyrics all I can think about how how much of a crumbling husk I had become in light of her actions towards me. I tried to push away that ending, and my black rose fell the same.
Only recently have I begun to really accept myself and my life as it is now, instead of waiting for it all to end.
Good song, I just think too much
I think this song was inspired by some other fictional piece, but I don't really know what. And that's the beauty of this song, It's such a relatable feeling that it can be applied to both fictional and non fictional situations.
Also I'm glad you're doing better dude, live on.
Hey. It’s been a year. Just want to check in. Make sure you’re still living on.
@@TheChaosOfBlank I'm still here. New heartaches abound, but that fact never changes. Thanks brother
Is it just me, or do I hear Fur Elise in the background? If so, that's sick.
It's there. A very nice piano accompaniment

Yes,there is. ..and it feels so spicy in such song.
Yep, kicks in at 3:01

i can actually imagine him writing a song about Little Nightmares as an end credits song.... even if it would be an abridged story it would fit sooo well...

I like the sort of melancholic feel this song gives off.
"I understand.
Your only choice is to revolutionize the world.
The path you must take has been prepared for you."
I understand the song is probably about something completely different, but can't shake off an idea that the 'singers' are from some kind of mercenary band or military order consisting mostly of terminally ill, but still kind of capable. Like lepers-militant, or something.
Probably because of the 'leave legends to our names' line.
That take gives me inspo for a story seed.

Imagine a mobster movie but where the the kingpin (protagonist) has only a year to live. He keeps trying to find a doctor or surgery that will cure him and all the while isolating himself from those that would discourage his futile search. In the end his body gives out as this song plays.
One of the highlights on this album (in an album full of highlights, no less). These crowd songs always turn out to be some of my favorites on each album and they're always fun to participate in. Love the musical reference to Beethoven's Für Elise at 3:01 and the crowd-only part at 4:46 followed by the fast-paced climax gave me chills! That part was especially impactful during the album premiere stream when the entire chat collectively exploded. It really was one of those "you just had to be there" moments. SO good!
Another song of him and fan's singing.
I love these a lot.
I am actually really proud to say that I was I the encore singing of this song
If I ever direct a fantasy film or tv show y’all know who I’m going to for the soundtrack
i don't even need to hear it, from the second i clicked the video i knew it would be good
This song came out the same week my father died I even listened to it the same day i think I don't know what made me do it and honestly it probably should've made me more sad but it didn't and now hearing it again I can't help but think of that day and how I never knew how much i'd really miss him until he was gone this song will always mean something to me and will always bring out something in me sadness that he's gone regret for not doing more things with him in the end and maybe that's why I keep coming back because in a way it's always going to feel connected to him funny how that works Huh? That I listen to it knowing that I'm gonna feel things but it's one of the few times I know the feelings are real I don't have to question them ask myself what am I really feeling cause their the realest feelings I might ever have sure it hurts enough to make me cry but I guess in the end it reassures me I'm not completely cold or dead inside that I can still feel things when it counts and in a way I'm glad to have that reassurance no matter how bad it hurts in the end
Don’t feel bad or sad. Thank God for all the memories you have of your dad. We are dust and dust we will become . But we need to worry about our souls. Find God’s love and ask for his forgiveness of all his sins. ❤ my son listened to this songs and loved to play blood borne games , and he died a year ago. I have found peace in my heart through praying. I love to listen to the Avators song s the have meaning and I remember my son .

Once i heard that a song should never be longer than 4 minutes or there's the risk that it becomes boring. I'm happy you never follow this nonsense
If that was the case, Psychedelic Rock, Jazz, and most classical compositions wouldn't exist.
I think how it works is that mediocre songs shouldn’t outlive their stay.
Some songs do get boring after 2-3 minutes.
Hell, "Outside" gets a bit repetitive after 3 minutes.
But, well, Avi's songs make me wonder why other songs aren't longer. It works great when done well. And Avi generally does it really well.
I can’t imagine incodecent being shorter
@@ginghinaandrei5013 A major thing about Avi's song length is the regular chorus. They add a lot of time to the song. In many songs, the chorus can get stale after a while. But with Avi, it's always on point to the extent that I'd not mind listening to just the chorus on a loop.
An END (of someone/something),

When the piano rift comes in @3:00 the first notes came from, “A Song That Never Ends,” I love when artist put subtle references to their bigger discography.
that's actually a musical reference to Beethoven's Für Elise
@@HenningsEdits I know, but by adjusting the last couple of notes to crescendo up instead of down it sounds more like referencing A Song That Never Ends; which itself is already referencing classical artists like Beethoven and Bach.
@@EnvyTheReaper Yeah I hear what you mean. ASTNE definitely has a lot of classical influences. I'm just saying, in this song in particular, he references Für Elise note-for-note.

One of my favorite bands to date, and almost every single song of theirs is just... *chefs kiss*
Sharp winds cut through the foggy valley, lending swirling magnificent dances of cloud in and away from the view of the dwarf Bors Morgo. His chain mail shook with the sound of rain on tree leaves as he eyed the jagged mountain edges. He jumped as he heard the voice of his partner, and fellow sellsword Marcus Pransworth. "Relax Morgo, Boreal Aždaja hasn't been seen for days. We're fine." His voice was firm, but they both could see the pair of mounted Silverguard ahead looking around nervously. Their cargo was too precious to go unnoticed. Bors compulsively checked his boltcase. Two...three...four... It was snowing and visibility fast was fading. Instinctively the group grew into a tighter formation. Bors felt it rather than saw it ahead. Towering at the heart of the storm. A ghostly figure, twice the height as a building. One of the Silverguard screamed. "Douse your lights! Shroud the chest!" Marcus in an instant covered the large Platinum chest they guarded, his barely visible eyes wide with terror. The Silverguard wept frozen tears as their fingers fumbled with the latch of their lanterns. The fires went out, and Bors' eyes struggled to adjust to the darkness. Above he heard thunder, strangely muted. Like a scream into a pillow. The ghostly giant before him slowly began to crackle with electric energy, and without even a moment to react, the jagged sword impacted the Silverguard, swiftly cutting him in twain. Marcus screamed in absolute terror, and fled into the whiteout. Bors, finding a strength he had never felt before, seized the platinum chest, and rode as fast as he could into the whirling storm. He prayed to any god that would listen, begging for salvation. But when dawn came the world was frozen still, with the crimson left buried under snow and the Ghost King having vanished with the moon
