  • Point Designs’ thumb prosthesis is designed for people who have lost their thumb at or near the MCP joint. It is a mechanical, passive device with a robust construction that allows patients to regain opposition in their affected hand.
In this video, Point Designs patient Tim Roos shares his story and shows how he uses his Point Thumb to accomplish heavy-duty tasks and to regain his independence.
Point Designs prides itself on producing durable and reliable prosthetic fingers that can withstand the rigors of everyday use in tough environments. Many of the patients that use our prosthetic fingers worked in heavy manual labor jobs before their amputation, and aspire to continue working in those positions with the use of their prosthesis.

It seems to be a very simple thing and I can`t even think how useful it could be.
