Ah yes, the Tamiya F40. I built this kit back in 2006. Simple, but fun.
I never used that primer before. Looks like a white primer to me? If so, if you have molded in color kits like that (red being the worst), then the molded in color has the tendency to bleed through the white primer. I typically use a few coats of gray primer first, sand it smooth, then follow it with a few coats of white primer. Sand smooth and base coat/clear coat.
