I'm so in heaven right now watching this! I just went to a location like this and was saying everything was a birthday present for myself lol....It was hot as ever here also and I was in heat heat. The rocking bench and that yellow vintage bench was EVERYTHING!

I watched this wishing for something like this near me…. Off to google to see what I can find. There are many architectural salvage places but the garden salvage might be harder to find. Thanks for sharing your shopping and inspiring me to look for somewhere similar near me. :)

Your video came up in my feed today and I love all things vintage and metal in the garden so I had to watch it. I was wowed by your mother's Diana bench! Oh how I would love to find one of those! You may already know this since you've had the bench for so long, but Diana, in mythology was the goddess of the moon and the hunt. She's often recognizable by the crescent moon in her hair, the quiver of arrows over her shoulder, a bow in her hand, and her hunting dog. So cool! (My name is Diana, which is why I know.) Thanks for the video, as I said I love all things metal in the garden and I am also in a really happy place when I find items at vintage stores. Thank you!
Hi, Diana! I’m glad you enjoyed my video. Thank you for the information on the bench. I knew the figures were either Greek or Roman, but I never took the time to find out which one it was. It reminds me of my mother. That’s probably why I’ve never painted it. It’s so heavy! I’ve considered selling it many times, just to keep from having to move it every time I cut the lawn 😁 Thanks for watching 💚
@@thebusybrownangel5829 Well, if you ever do decide to sell it be sure to have it appraised first. A quick search showed me it was made by a company called Molla in the 1950s-60s, and their pieces are very collectible now. Though not rare, still pretty valuable. Add to that your bench has known provenance (history). A Molla Diana style bench very similar to yours is listed on 1stDibs for $7200. I found others listed closer to $2500. Way out of my price range! If you ever wanted to expand to have a larger set I found matching chairs and a two seat bench that could be had too. Just an fyi. ...If you'd rather not have this information on your channel please delete this comment. No offense meant, just a thrifting habit of mine to find the value of things. :)

I absolutely love to shop in unique places like that! There were so many fantastic pieces, I would have had a real hard time trying to decide just which items I couldn't live without. Repurposing and refurbishing are one of my favorite things to do, I sure wish I would have been along with you shopping that day. The bronze paint color you chose looks great. ~Margie

Gardening at Douentza Thank you! This place has been one of my bright spots through all of this. Botanical Gardens here in California had gone presale tickets only and sold out pretty quickly. Hopefully one day I‘ll have a garden as big as yours 💚
