Is legroom in the back better than a Karoq?
Is legroom in the back better than a Skoda Karoq?
1:24. Yes Prosche Design, Toyota Technic (hybrid eCVT exactly the same), but Ford pricing so, best of all.

Thank you for doing the much-awaited new Kuga review. I own the 2018 model currently and before that had the 2014 model. Very happy with both and after testing the Karoq, with which I was very disappointed (very light steering, body roll, boring interior, some issues with build quality, etc.), my wife and I were looking to you for this review. I think that we will go for the Titanium Pug-in Hybrid for the family (two small kids). I still have the SMax (2016) and will run it for a while till Ford offers the new 2021 line up. Thanks Thomas, you have all been our trusted reviewer.
thanks Asif ! All the best to u !
Plug-in hybrid?? Surely that would be a Peugeot. And rumours are that Ford will not replace the current S-Max or Galaxy, same as C-Max has not been replaced
As i see, suspensions, motors and automatic gears are working very well and dependable. Thank you Thomas for high quality review.
6:15 already has a dent lol
Handled by "careful" jurnalists..
Yes, too bad the featured bumpers only protect other cars. Really nice feature that should be mandatory on all new cars.
The most prominent part of the door is 2 cm higher than plastic protection, that's where the mark is.
Black mirrors will be a must!
I love how you can say negative things about a car with out insulting them
How could one insult a car?
@@UniversalControl by saying it's ugly, rubbish, ect
@@callumwestmoreland-caunter6562 Yeah, that is one of the reasons why I appreciate Autogefühl very much. They review vehicles in a very mature professional way, which is very rare!
Yes Thomas. Many thanks for the great Review. And yes, many thanks for all your work, and for keeping us car enthusiasts entertained during these difficult times - I will anyway be going back to view some of your previous entertaining videos over the coming weeks, I hope. Great channel. Best wishes to your family.
thanks my friend, we ll keep up the ffort!!
Family member bought the Escape Hybrid (not PHEV) here in US recently. Compared to our C-Max hybrid, it's a nice upgrade. Surprising response and performance around town, the car just reaches speed limits quickly with no drama. The SE Sport edition comes with 19 inch wheels, still too big imo. The ActiveTex vinyl seating and plain interior aren't fancy. But here in the US, the vehicle can be bought with lots of options and still around $30K. It's not an X3 or Q5, but not trying to be either.

it looks bulky from the back but the front it looks like a porsche! yeah great design afterall
You really like the long nose ? 2:20
I think this one is a perfect option for lease companies and also as company car. Althought people that aren't car enthousiast will also be happy with that. I don't like the plastic screen before the digital display cluster, I think it will cause much reflection and it just looks less estetique.
Personally, I would rather buy this for someone else, for example, my child or sibling...not for myself. Or I would have this bought to be used as just a hauler. Seems like one of those cars a person would buy purely for commute. No insult to the car or its fans, of course. 🤙
Great review as always, love @autogefuhl always in full screen, full HD and full length.
👌
very good review as always Thomas.
"This car is always complaining sound-wise" hahahaha. Keep the good work and stay safe out there!
0:57 goes off like a rocket!
Speed of light in a second...
The front end reminds me of the new Aston Martin SUV.
Yea but Alot cheaper
Thank you Thomas@Clark Kent, best detailed review as always. You're now a trend in my country's car forums, they'll mimick the way you pronounce "color" whenever it comes to luxury cars.
haha =)
did not disapoint as usual danke schon Thomas
the back of the car doesnt match the front of it at all! it has sharp lines in the back
Jz like porcshe or any mercy cars
21:29 this "electric sound" is a new law in EU that all electric cars produced after some point this year must have now. it's artificial, but pretty cool sounding
OMG, this is perfection. Much respect for German people !!!
That looks much nicer than the Escape to be honest
Kuga and Escape are the same!
@@polarlicht4758 unfortunately if you look up a 2020 Ford Escape in America it does not look the same. There's differences in the front end and there's differences in the side whereas the kuga has body colored paneling the Escape has a different color cladding. Amongst other minor differences
maybe that's just the trim level difference? Dunno
@@autogefuehl Escape uses a different front grille and lower valance area design area. Looks lower rent then the Kuga, but that's not saying much :-) The has been done years ago looking interior is the same though :-)
Hi, which one is better this KUGA or VW Tiguan 1.5 tsi 150?
looks best only from front , from side and rear it could have been a 2010 model design, apart from that i am sure it is a very capable suv
Nice looking car 👍
Stunning review from Thomas 😀
thanks my friend!
verry nice car thanks for your review hoping they start producing again in a short time, kuga is build in valentia
cheers!
In the states were given the choice of Active X seating as an option which is similar to MB Tex.
👌
As an owner of the previous gen prefacelift I am looking forward for this one. However, there are few things that I alredy dislike about the new model. Not sure if they are dealbrakers. First, ground clearence seems lower, which is bad for a SUV. I personally never went full offroad but frequently drive on dirt roads and climb on sidewalks for parking. The doorbins and the armrest storage box look way smaller. Mine are always loaded. The second row of seats is darker due to the smaller windows on the c pillar. Side door panels have a cheap looking pattern that is not related to anything else in the interior. Desing-wise the front is OK, the back is a massacre, especially the bumper. Overall, it looks more like a hatchback than the previus gen. However, the luggage compartment in the newer model looks more generous than before and the sliding back seats are a nice addition. The infotainment and the central console look very easy to use and I like that everything is kept physical. Hope it drives and feels as good as the previous model. Mine is a 2.0 tdci awd and is abosolute joy to drive. I have it for 6 years and so far no problems at all and fuel economy is ideal. Thanks for the imformative review! Cheers from Bulgaria.
Thanks for the extensive feedback! Hope u re subscribed!
Autogefühl Of course I am subscribed! There is no other European channel that provides quality in depth auto content in full hd, full screen and full length. Just a recommendation, you could add under the vehicles part of the reviews so we can see what is going on underneath in terms mechanics, build quality etc. Maybe more viewers would like to get more general knowledge on underpinnings.
What about the cvt gear?
Looks nice. But without logo it's pretty hard to recognise it as a Ford
@6:21 I see the other car that dinged the door didn't have the door protector? :)
In Croatia "kuga" means "Plague", not good name for our market
Excellent review like always
👌
I'm thinking of getting a decently equipped Mach E instead of this. More sporty and efficient.
I'm gonna get this to replace my current Kuga. I think electric cars will become viable in 20-30 years, but right now they are still in their stone age.
the drivers doo, has a dent, near the door closing latch
It looks like they took the plug in hybrid C-max that I own and remade it somewhat larger. Many of the features seem identical. So maybe I can stop sulking because so far whenever Ford makes a car I like they kill it. Nice job reviewing. Thank you.
Thanks Hans
Thanks, Thomas! ❤ Lovely video, as always. 💖 Very detailed. 🤗 Nice afFORDable car. 😂 Beautiful scenery. 😍🇩🇪
I know the Coronavirus is making things so difficult for everyone, and you guys are trying your best to still keep us entertained with amazing top quality. 🤗 Thank you. ❤ Stay safe! But if you guys can, please make a comparison video of the newer Mazda CX-5, Hyundai Tucson, Toyota RAV4, and this Ford Kuga/Escape. Individual reviews would also be nice. But stay safe!
Indeed, stay healthy as well !
Buen video, este Ford Kuga es precioso y dinámicamente espectacular
Hey, the white EV you have seen at minute 29 was the Life by e.GO that is being produced in Aachen. Caritas in Cologne ordered a lot of these for their inner-city-fleet.
Would like to see a test of the mhev diesel :)
Thomas, Team, what is the “Autogfühl” between TOYTOTA RAV4 no Plugin and this car?
1 minute after upload, I hadn't thought that I will be so early watcher ever
Where is the Subwoofer located? Can‘t see it in any pic or video... Thanks!
Really like the new looks of the Fords :D
Fiesta ST for me tho :)
Thank you for this excellent and very serious review
Thank you Thomas for another great review--big fan. I am seriously considering a PHEV, and This Ford Kuga is certainly one of the more interesting ones. One thing I'm not sure about is what kind of "Charger infrastructure" (your words) do I really need at home (Switzerland). I can easily enough run a cable from a regular household socket out to the car, but is that sufficient, or do I need an electrician to install something more serious?
I realize this is not your main area of expertise, but perhaps you could point me toward some discussion so I can begin to figure out what I really need. I can well imagine that anyone considering an electric car will be wondering the same thing.
Many thanks again for your wonderful reviews.
thanks! Actually I do think a lot about these issues. As for a PHEV, you ll be just fine with your household plug and leave it overnight!
@@autogefuehl Thanks for getting back to me--that's good news. I'm sensing a Kuga PHEV in my near future.
I pick up my new Skoda Suberb Combi Sportline iV next Monday. Thanks for your help.
Great review as always interesting comments from you. I would have liked to hear more on your comments on engine noise with the CVT gearbox please? Is it completely variable or stepped gears? Thanks Rob
Thanks! We also did accelerating in the driving part, seen/heard that?
Full review for Renault Captur Initiale Paris Hybrid, please...
Active noise cancelation might be better for comfort, but is it better for hearing health? Is the dB level reduced?
I'm really considering buying it... Can you tell if that color is the standard White or the platinum White?
It looks like a great car
I really like the design, especially this Vignale version!
Great review!
Would you prefer driving the Kuga than the Puma?
Thanks! More comfortable ofc
Why is the most electrified version the most interesting one?
Seriously, i don‘t get that whole battery hype. A 200hp Diesel Euro6 version with awd and able to tow 2.5 tones and i would be in.
Kuga in slavic means Colera plague
Looks great definantly gunna buy well done ford
Please give some info/new video about upcoming plug in hybrid cars. and low cost plug in hybrid cars/mpv.
Would like to know how many miles per Kw it achieves running just on electric to compare against a proper BEV please.
My goodness the A pillar is large. it must obscuring the driver's line of view at corners
Hi, the new Ford Kuga Escape looks like the new Ford Puma
Was kaufen. Kia Niro plug in hybrid oder Ford Kuga Phev?
Is Ford still using old traditional lightbulbs for the blinkers, reverse lights and break lights? They did the same on the new Focus...
OliverW Front turn signal is LED but I think rear turn signal is incandescent. It’s annoying they don’t just switch to all LED. It just looks more fresh and new when you don’t have the fading effect of incandescent.
Front view camera: I wish all cars have this. Trying to exit from a T-junction with many parked cars you can see cars incoming from left!!
Schönes Auto, gefällt mir gut 👍🏻 aber bei 6min schon die erste Delle neben dem Türgriff 🙈🤔
i like your denglish :)
Door dent!!
المرسيدس عند فتح الباب يتحول إلى وقوف
Mercedes Benz when you open the door automatically changes to P park... since long time ago ... my GLC 250 has this feature too
my point was rather that the round shifting leaver is physically moving for this :)
Autogefühl true and that’s new that you can see it visually ;-)
Those Ford bings and bongs....
Hi Thomas, you mentioned that the doors in the backseats have soft touch material - Is that also the case for the other trim levels, i.e Titanium trim? Thanks
Hmm I dont think they would differ that from trim to trim. Not sure though
Probably the rear end was designed from that student who was doing the internship at Ford. Or they put so much effort in the design of the rest of the car and in the end they were too bored to finish the rear design
hat der neue Kuga auch die Apple Car Wireless funktion?
Nope
Ford Cherokee/ Rav4/Cayenne/ Kadjar
What's going on with that rear bumper lol. It's a no from me . I think it looks like something from 10 years ago . Sort of like a Hyundai ix30 , how did they get this so wrong when the Puma is so right . Maybe because this is american and the Puma is european design .
I don't mean to sound insulting but why not show either the mid - level or entry trim of cars? Car manufacturers have most of their sales from these trims than the top trims.
Totally agree, it's just that test vehicles are in 99 % cases full spec because manufacturers want to show off what they have. Nothing we can do against it, I personally always prefer mid-spec cars, and if there is a chance to show that, we always take it
Can you please review the new Explorer when its out here in Europe?
of course
Hi again 😉👍 Is it only me , or is this car named “Puma” in other regions 😳🤔😂?
No, Puma is this: czcams.com/video/vWk-jdYUfik/video.html
Nice lines... but proportion in front is so wrong...
Personally, I think this new Escape LOOKS fantastic. About the best looking SUV out there to my eye. However, performance wise it doesn't hold a candle to the new Toyota RAV4 Prime plug-in hybrid. I can't look at the outside of the vehicle anyway while I'm driving down the road, and could care less about what other people think about what I drive, so I can get over the Toyota's more "boxy" style to pick up the additional near 100 horsepower and the much greater range on pure Electric. The RAV4 Prime is over 3 seconds quicker to 100 kph. Also, the Toyota has heated/cooled seats up front with heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel, along with memory seating for the driver. When I talked to Ford here in Canada, I couldn't get cooled seats at any price. The Toyota also has more cargo space and probably better resale value. I'm by no means a Toyota fanboy BUT they've checked an awful lot of desirable boxes on the RAV4 Prime option list. It'll probably be our next vehicle.
Excellent as usual Thomas. So, my wife has the choice of the Kuga or BMW X1 M Sport PHEV. We have 2 teenagers and a medium sized dog. Which one? We will be retiring our 4 series Gran Coupe.
Thanks again.
What did you go with in the end steve B
@@steveb4012 thank you Steve B for replying 💯 so the things is I have the 220 bhp msport x1 diesel and will change soon but do not have the x1 PHEV option
Nice to hear that the 1.5 has not the drive you like coming from the GT
@just P. X Hi, we've hadthe X1 Hybrid M Sport for around 15 months now. It's been great, the main annoyance is the small furl tank. Combined range is working out at around 330 miles. I believe the new X1 has a larger fuel tank. I still can't get my head around d how peppy that 1.5litre engine is, cruising, it never feels underpowered and if you've got electric, the car has plenty of power.
What's the fuel consumption on your drive?
all in the review
@@autogefuehl I missed it then. It should always be at the start!

Tha back look like cars from 10 years ago the rest is fine, they could done better job with tha design of the back.
How many liters luggage?
I said
What does L-mode do on the gear selector?
like low gear, like engine brake in normal cars
I think I did test it while driving, didnt I ?
I spy a first generation kuga.
More importantly - does it have a CD player !!!!
already looks outdated to me.. especially the back
is true .. Flashing lights and reversing lights are not LEDs. The diffuser would look better in black.
The exterior looks good but the interior is extremely bland and unimaginative.
Thank for the comprehensive review Thomas. This design somehow already looks old and dated. Maybe it's because many of the design features have been around for 10 yrs. The profile makes the front look really excessively long. Big nosed Ford. And the rear end is seriously bland. Oh well, at least all the cry babies can't say you are only reviewing german cars. ;)
😂
@@autogefuehl Oh, and how did you dent the driver's side door Thomas? Or was that your camera dude... yah blame him....wait no, blame Brian!!
hehe no that wasnt us =)
There’s no point demonstrating a sound system. Think about it!
Sieht aus wie ein Togg Toog !
On Croatian,Serbian and Bosnian kuga=the plague😷😷
300!
Had a good look at it while at the dealership this week. The front is fucking hideous.. similar to the new focus, they've gone from that super mean look to a dumb fish eyed happy face, I don't understand why they'd do that.
👍
If not this display on middle... it fck so ugly placed there... I would buy this car. But with this protruding display... it's disqualify this car for me. Now I will buy Tiguan 2...
That's an ugly dent. I'll take the car gladly from your hands... Great car, I'm saving for it!

It looks tiny
